Not that great for its price...

Good headphones. Problem charging

An OK option

1st headset. High hopes, big disappointment

This is my first ever headset I've ever bought and used to connect with a console for gaming. I downloaded the firmware as soon as I opened the box and charged the headset. Once it was done I started using it and honestly anything fully functioning with clear sound would've blown me away. This did not. Periods of function worked great in spurts of 5 mins or so. After it would just sound like glitchy static in between the gameplay throughout the session. Then work fine again, then static over and over. Battery life claims 15 hours but I had to charge this thing every day even when I only used it for less than an hour at times. It left me with low expectations to try out other wireless headphones. It was a shame cause I actually did like these even if they were plastic. Will be returning today to exchange for a wired headset.

Great Choice for the Value

So getting the headphones to sync was pretty easy, but the instructions didn't match my older XBOX One. But I knew were the sync button was, so it wasn't a big deal. When listening to music via YouTube, Lower base levels were average, midrange was good, and the higher tones were also very good. But who typically uses XBOX headphones for music? Gaming, and this was really good... Comfortable, I can hear all my game audio, and the battery lasts a very long time. Easy to use, didn't even have to think about it... after connecting, turning on... and was solid in my game play. I had a friend put them on, and he though those were a very popular expensive brand name headphone. Very good option... dump the cords, get a real wireless headset... your team mates (when online) will thank you for it

Nice but brittle

Comfy wireless headset

They are wireless, have better padding on the top and ear parts. The mic flips down when needed and people can hear me better than my previous pair. They are more comfortable with my gunnar gaming glasses than my Recon 70’s. The only gripe is with a larger head they can be too snug. Also there is some interference every once and while. Sometimes cuts off the sound. Overall the best Turtle Beach headset I have used so far.

Didnt last very long

About a week ago just stopped working. Did all the trouble shooting steps and that was it. Lasted just over a year. For a hundred bucks I was hoping to get at least two years out of it. Maybe I just got a bad one off the line.

I actually DID what IT said, and reset my Xbox smh

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WARNING: If you decide to order a pair, and use them full-time, then you'll have to know that in order to update the device, you'll need access to a PC/Mac. Cool. In order to adjust any settings with the device; customer service, and/or IT will refer you right back to the 'Turtle Beach' sound program on PC. Side tone (mic monitoring - feature where you can get sounds around you while gaming) just didn't work. So I used the program to fix it. Slider, and side-tone ONLY works at 80, or 95% on the slider, so not only will you be able to hear your entire home, but you'll also hear your blood pressure flowing through your body. Volume in-game, and then volume in-chat, dude, the 'easy to access, and adjust on the fly blah blah blah' isn't that at all, they're just two wheels for decoration. I got one for my daughter's PS4, and this one for my son on Xbox One; BOTH OF THEM HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. Save your time. Please, god. Don't do it. Don't buy these.

A PC or Mac would be required in order to update the headset to its most recent firmware. With that being said, the separate volume dials on your Xbox headset should function appropriate for Game and Chat audio purposes.
If you're having an issue with those dials adjusting game or chat audio as they should, please let our Support Team know. They always are happy to assist with further troubleshooting if a restore of the headset via the Audio Hub program didn't work. You'd simply have to continue your correspondence with them by providing them with your results via email.
The team can also be contacted via Live Chat between 9:30 AM EST and 4:30 PM EST from Monday through Friday. That's available directly on the main Turtle Beach website. Keep an eye on the lower right hand corner of your screen for the live chat icon when filling out the form or visiting another page on our site.
All in all, they will gladly assist with further troubleshooting or replacement service if necessary.

Great Audio, Cheap Materials

The pair I have still work but the plastic band that slides out to make them larger broke this morning. If you're careful when removing these from your head then it won't be an issue but mine broke in about three months. I'm about to ask Turtle Beach for a warranty option, haven't reached out to them yet.

Save your money!

I get constant interference from the remote and the headset. One or the other disconnects every 5 minutes, there's constant crackling absolute trash for $90. It's not like I'm 100yrds away from the console.
