My daughter loved these headset. Turtle beaches have always been a go to for me.

I admit that because I'm on a Mac, that may have added to the issues I faced when I got this headset. The custom driver that comes with the USB dongle didn't work. I could not get the headphones to pair with the dongle. I could get them to pair directly to the computer over Bluetooth, but the experience was less than stellar. People in Teams meetings said they could not hear me. I returned these and bought some Logitechs for a lot less money. The Logitechs aren't perfect, but I can live with a couple of quirks for the money I saved.

If you have big ears consider something else but solid equipment

Playing video games either on PC or a console isn't immersive until you have a great pair of over the ear headphones. What drew me to these units from Turtle Beach are their slight departure from the normal aesthetic that seems to be ubiquitous lately. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max (wordy name) are large and well bolstered in the right places suggesting a comfortable fit for long sessions. I discovered they have an eyeglasses pass through on the earpads with a tab that can be adjusted by snapping off the earpad and tightening a slotted belt to accommodate different types of glasses. The button and volume wheel setup is too tightly packed on the left earpad which is also where the mic is. I found myself pushing the Bluetooth button rather than the mode button and getting confused with the volume wheel. I'm sure with practice, it won't be an issue. However, staggering the button layout would've made things easier to begin with. The fit is good although it gets a bit tight after some time. Sadly, they don't isolate you enough from outside noise to get a true immersive experience so make sure you're not in a busy coffee bar or other potentially noisy place. That said, it does drown out a lot of higher frequency noises without the aid of ANC. I tested these out using them to play Fortnite and found I could hear far more details than on the computer speakers. The Superhuman hearing feature (adjustable in app) attenuates background noises in game simulating a 3D environment. It's a great advantage being able to hear footsteps and having the ability to discern from where they're coming. Bass frequencies are awesome though par for the course for gaming headsets. Having equally competing highs is what's great about these units. My favorite feature of this headset has to be the hidden mic, it really sets it apart from others on the market. Without the foam or bendability of most, the sound reproduction is quite clear even if it doesn't cancel out background sounds. The Audio Hub app for mobile allows you to manage volumes and activate sound profiles for the headphones and the mic. You have to always manually turn on Bluetooth pair to connect to the app and if you're not using it for a couple of minutes, the Bluetooth turns off. You can't update the headset using the app though; for that, you need to download the Turtle Beach app on your PC that does nothing except update the headset and USB dongle. Strangely, you have to connect the USB dongle and headset to the PC (via USB-C) in order to update the unit. Though I was prompted that a new firmware was available, once the headset was properly connected, it said the unit was up-to-date. This is a very capable headset that allows for up to 40 hours of immersive play and creates a simulated 3D sound environment thanks to the Superhuman hearing feature. I'm not sure most people would consider it a value unless you really like the idea of a fold out microphone. I like it and think it looks premium in either color scheme.

They are great headphones but unfortunately they break within less than a year. This is my third pair and always break bead the swivel part.

It was the wrong one, needed one for X Box. My grandson was very happy with it I cry he exchanged it.

I like these but they loose connection alot the battery will be halfways and just shut off or you turn it on and they just shut back off on their own . I think i msy need newer ones

It doesn’t work any better than the 600x in fact it is worse. The mic is too sensitive and cuts out. I plan on taking it back.
