I Love My Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Purchased at Best Buy Excellent Customer Service and Great Warranty From Geek Squad

Bought these in November of '22. Gotta say I was very pleased with them until today, when the left ear phone broke off of the mount to the head piece. I'm 70. I've babied these things. All I've done is put them on/take them off and set them down. No accidents. Nothing to explain this.

These headphones are great. It is very easy to connect these headphones to my xbox, Pc, and phone.

Sound great usually, but build quality is bad. While I can live with the occasional crackling sound during some online MP games, what I can’t ignore is the terrible build quality. These replaced a set of 420x that also broke as time went by at each swivel arm. Today I put these on and it fit loose, not yesterday. The cracks/tear in the plastic of the right swivel grew larger and more visible, with the ear cuff dangling. Thankfully still within the 1 yr warranty but this is the last turtle beach product I’ll ever pay for.

I bout these for a $181. And every thing was good till the cheap plastic broke for no reason. I reached out to turtle beach about this and my response was I would need to buy a new set. I take care of my stuff and this break was uncalled for or warranted by anything I did. I was literally just holding it in my hand as I went to put them on and the super cheap plastic gave way. With no way of repairing. Turtle Beach, I will share my message with every gamer I know. You could have made this right but your millions of dollars wasn’t enough to make a consumer happy. Your product isn’t just pretty trash.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max I’ve always been hesitant about wireless gaming headsets. I had heard the ‘horror’ tales of staticky connections, other devices interrupting the signal of the wireless gaming headset, etc. I had always gamed with a wired headset because it was reliable. I always preferred the Turtle Beach brand because they make solid headsets and have fantastic customer service. However, using a wired headset comes with the caveat of being tethered to your console or controller. I finally decided to take a chance on the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max. And I love it! Setup: I thought there was going to be a lengthy process of setting up the Stealth 700 Max. It’s ready right out of the box. I plugged the Bluetooth dongle into the front of my Xbox Series X, turned on the headset, and the two pieces paired without incident. Now, I NEED to mention that to utilize the Surround Sound headset features on the Xbox you will need to go into the Xbox Series settings, go to General, then go to Volume and Audio Output, and select Windows Sonic for Headphones. It’s an amazing difference when you’re playing games like Halo Infinite or Warzone. Can you use the Stealth 700 Gen 2 for the PlayStation 5? Yes, you can. Setting the headset for my PS5 was basically just as easy. Make sure you switch the slider on the Bluetooth dongle from Xbox to USB. Then, you plug it into the PS5 and fire up your system. Make sure you access the sound setting of your PS5 system and manually select it to switch to the Turtle Beach headset. The only difference between the two console setups is that when you turn off the headset on the Xbox Series, the game sounds will immediately switch to your TV speakers or soundbar. But with the PS5, when you turn off the headset, you have to go into the PS5 Sound setting and select TV (HDMI) sound. It’s just an extra step that isn’t too much of a bother. The Stealth 700 can also connect to your Nintendo Switch, and PC using the same Bluetooth dongle. Since I do not currently own a Nintendo Switch, I cannot attest to how it connects. Sound: The sound that comes pouring through the headset is pure joy whether you are playing on Xbox, PS5, or PC. If you’re a gamer like myself who relies on the sounds of the game as a level of immersion then you are going to really enjoy what the Stealth 700 brings to the table! I was playing Dying Light 2 as I have done with my previous headset but this time, my headspace felt as if I was really in the middle of a group of zombies as rain danced on the outside of the building, I was in. Then I played Elden Ring which has a vast array of music, environmental, and combat sound effects. It’s an additional level of role-playing immersion. And of course, for the competitive online players of Apex Legends, Warzone, and Fortnite, the Stealth 700 delivers its signature Superhuman Hearing option with the press of a button that amplifies the footsteps of other players. Be Heard: With some headset microphones, there is sometimes an issue with where the microphone is placed from your mouth (the gateway). Whenever you find that perfect distance, you have to readjust the next time you put on the headset. The Stealth 700 has an easy access flip-down microphone that provides the perfect distance between the mic and your mouth. And you can adjust the mic so that it can swivel slightly closer to your mouth if you desire. I’ve streamed with this headset several times and it doesn’t pick up background noises or my breathing that might sound like a wind tunnel to my viewers. I also noticed that I am not seemingly popping my Ps when chatting to my audience because of the placement of the microphone. Need to mute it? Then just flip the mic up and you are muted. I also need to mention that this Turtle Beach headset has the pass-through hearing so that you can hear yourself when talking which means you’re not ‘yelling’ into the mic feel the need to keep one earcup off just because you can’t hear yourself. Comfort: I game for several hours with gaming glasses and I found no discomfort with the Stealth 700 Gen 2. The earcups fit nicely around my ears without feeling heavy or pressurized around my head. The ear cushions remain cool and don’t make your ears feel hot over time. You can remove the ear cushions and adjust them accordingly for the type of glasses that you might wear during your game time. Not once did I feel any discomfort. The headset also unfolds, allowing you to rest it comfortably around your neck for the gaming breaks. Customize Your Sound Experience: With the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, you can get into the depth of the kind of audio design you’re wanting. Chat Boost, Mappable Features, Mic Noise Gate, and many other options are offered within the app. Battery Life: The Stealth 700 has an insane amount of battery life of 40 hours. You don’t need to worry about if you need to charge it since each time you power it up, there’s a voice informing you how much battery life there is. And when it is time to charge, the headset uses a USB-C plug, making for easy and fast charging. This and That: The only minor issues I would have to voice about the headset are that the buttons don’t stand out from one another when you’re accessing them. You’re going to have to commit them to memory to know which one is the Mode, Bluetooth, and Power. And as I have mentioned above, when using this headset with the PS5, you will need to manually disconnect the headset from the PS5 for the sound to return to the TV or soundbar. None of these issues are deal breakers by any means.

We love them! They work amazing. There’s just so many setting but if you get the hang of it they are awesome!

Came in a beat up box, has a red tag like it was an open box but I bought it brand new..?? Not very ethical if the case. As for the headset itself, the bluetooth range is the worst I've ever experienced. I walk into the next room and it cuts out. I have an older set, around 10 yrs, that are better than these

I purchased this on black Friday for 69.99. Very nice and the color is great. It's not tight around the ears if you are wondering.

Awesome surround sound. Fits ears an easy to hook up to XBox X Series . Would Recommend but Pricey. Great all the way around

this is one of the best headsets I have ever had. The only huge problem is I have had 4 in 2 years, not from misuse or throwing them. The earpiece connection that swivels will snap after continuous use. The headset will last 6 months.

This headset has decent audio but the quality is horrible. I have had three of these headsets in succession and each time the same issue continues to plague this brand. The plastic breaks above the earphone making the headset unusable and repairs are not worth the trouble due to the frequency of the defects. Turtle beach offers a limit warranty and does not support their products beyond that warranty. The cracks and breaking are frequent and these can be found in a quick eBay search with the same issues continuously showing up with this headset.

I normally don’t comment on these products but as a professional gamer i can tell you these headset are good especially for call of duty and other first person shooters the modes make the earring experience wonderful and I recommend if you want help you can contact me on Xbox XHALOX18

Entire ear piece with mic broke off after 8 months. Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY. Great sound.

I had these for 15 months and they broke under the swivel. Since i was oht if warranty there is no repair services. Glad i got them on sale because they are poorly made. They just siund good.
