Bluetooth not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Turtle Beach headsets for years. I had the 600 and two pairs of the first gen 700’s. I decided to try a different brand, but they didn’t have Bluetooth. So I came back to these. These feel good, not too to tight. The sound is okay, I’m not blown away by them. I purchased them because I wanted Bluetooth and a headset that had separate chat and game controls. So far the chat/game controls are good. The Bluetooth is terrible. You cannot turn up the volume on your Bluetooth device past a certain volume. You cannot turn down the game to listen to your music from your phone. It’s all on the same dial. They say you can control your Bluetooth volume on the other dial, but you can only turn it up so much. The first gen 700’s did not have this issue. Why did they change it?

Please be aware that in order to adjust Bluetooth volume via the headset itself, you will need to ensure that you have assigned the lower, programmable dial on your headset to "Bluetooth Volume". That can be done via the mobile Audio Hub application, and would give you better control over the Bluetooth features volume.

amazing...with problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay so I've had these headphones for a few days and here are the problems I've encountered. Bluetooth connection static, crackling and popping but will eventually go away or it fixes itself. Loud nonstop buzzing. Could not turn off with power button, had to hold down "Mode" and "Bluetooth" buttons together for it to turn off. I was listening to music, mind you, I am connected to the Xbox and Bluetooth simultaneously, I have no problems with the app thus far. Like others have said, it's great when it wants to work. Update will be needed soon please. For app and headphones.

Styrofoam quality

The headset was amazing with crisp, HD sounds and highly customizable settings! Was disappointed to not see it anywhere, grabbed this as a consolation. All in all, not a bad headset, comfortable and fits nicely. The sound quality is trash. For $149.99 I was hoping for at least the same crisp sounds as the matched priced Elite Atlas but everything sounds like you're listening out of a Styrofoam cup. Terrible for the money you buy it for

Horrible Reliability, avoid at all costs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked for about 1 week now dead. these things are awful. even when working there were issues. randomly not syncing correctly and requiring removable of the USB stick and plugging it back in. the sound quality was mediocre. while many sounds are good, there are a few frequencies that sounded awful. even sitting at the ps5 main menu was bad. the app is unreliable. I got it to work like 3 times in total. they are really tight on your head which is nice if you like that, I happen too which is the only reason I kept them past the first day. sounds quality 5/10 mic quality 7/10 comfort 8/10 reliability 0/10 value 0/10 I am already returning and avoiding the company so on the off chance TB tries to contact me based on this review too late you blew it.

Mic issues

The sound across-the-board is very good. But I have to say the first pair i took back to Best Buy for the simple fact it had mic issues. I got the 2nd pair and they worked wonderful the 1st day now the 2nd day the mic had issues again. The mic keeps going in-and-out one minute my team will be able to hear me in a warzone the next they won't hear me at all Happens almost every game. This is why im giving it a 1 star and ill be returning these ones two.

Mic is too sensitive !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Turtle Beach Stealth 700s have a very sensitive mic. While playing with my buddies in either game chat or party chat on Xbox one x, they tell me they can hear them self through my headphones even with the noise gate and super human hearing mode turned on with the volume not even turned up much past half way on the audio hub. I played with the settings via Turtle Beach Audio Hub app and in game settings, nothing helped. Playing with the volume with this problem sucks because you can’t have your turtle beach turned up that much at all after half power for game or chat settings without your friends complainting that they hear my game or theirs selfs through my headset. Hopefully this is a can be fixed via firmware update, definitely would like to speak with someone from Turtle Beach. Thanks !!

Completely failed unit after about one month
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The headset at first glance would have been closer to four or five stars. The integration of Bluetooth on top of the wireless connection to the Xbox was very well done. I did experience light crackling occasionally while playing, from the people I talked to that also came through as my voice intermittently dropping while playing. These were pretty rare and the other features probably would have pushed this review to 4 stars had the unit worked beyond one month. Unfortunately, I ultimately have to give this one star because the headset completely died after just about a month. The unit is fully and truly useless. To make matters worse, customer service is pretty much unresponsive. You can only contact them through online submission, which takes several days for the company to contact you. At least in my case I got a generic response to try a different charging cable. The response I got didn't even recommend the correct charging cable (rep said to use a USB micro, but charging cable for the 700 gen 2 is a USB C). Which leads me to believe the rep didn't actually look into the case before providing a pre-canned response. From a value perspective, 150 for one month of use is very poor. The fact that I can't get ahold of customer service to try and resolve the dead unit means I'm left with a very expensive paper weight. I see a lot of positive reviews and if my headset had continued to work I would probably be pretty pleased. But the lack of quality leaves me pretty disappointed. Buy at your own risk, if you research you'll find a lot of reports of other units doing the same thing. I wish I had done that prior to the purchase because it would have lead me to get a different headset.

What can I say except they're garbage?

It's a mystery how they seem to get worse with every next generation they release. This thing connects directly to your console or pc the same way a controller would and yet still these headsets just can't hold a connection (just like their last generation of headsets). The volume controls are just awful. Adjusting the volume feels like a game of Spin the Wheel where the prizes are a lovely ringing in your ear or absolute silence. Let me just list off a couple things more reliable than this lovely piece of p l a s t i c. -Dollarstore walkie talkies -Dial-up internet when your relative would keep using the phone while you were trying to get on -Those earbuds you've put through the washer a couple times There are a lot of other much much better options than this headset.

Headset doesn’t accept a charge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the stealth 700 gen 2 headset as it is one of the few headsets available for the new Xbox series x/s, and i thoroughly enjoyed the 600 gen 1 so I figured why not. At first the headset was amazing boasting great sound quality and functionality. Unfortunately once the headset was ready to charge it would not take a charge I tried different cables and even checked the original cable by plugging in a phone that used the same usb 3 charger and the cable worked on the phone but not the headset. I almost feel that I spent $150 for a one time use headset and I am very disappointed with the purchase. ( I also did some research and found that I am not the only person that has reported this issue and turtle beach has yet to come forward with an explanation)

Press and hold down the Bluetooth Pairing Button + Mode Button on your headset for 20 seconds. This is a very long press, please make sure that you do not release it early, holding it down too long is better than too short.
This should hard reset the headset and may clear up what you are experiencing. After performing these steps, make an attempt at updating the headset via the Audio Hub for Windows or MacOS.

Amazing headset, comfortable w/glasses. Flawless!

No cutoutsd like other reviews, clear audio and very comfortable. The direct syncing to the XBOX is awesome and adjusting and fine tuning with the phone app while connected to the Xbox is great
