My poor review is due to these headphones lacking in many ways. Bluetooth connection did not work. Mic did not work most of the time. These are not anything like thier xbox counterpart stealth 700 Gen 2. These would have been better had the second volume control used for Game chat volume...not mic monitoring.

When they work, they are excellent. The problem is that they don't always work. At the moment, I cannot recommend you buy this headset due to connectivity issues alone. I DO recommend, however, that you wait, if you can, and pick these up as soon as Turtle Beach has ironed out the connectivity problems with them because they really are excellent when they work. Sound - 9/10 Comfort - 6/10 Durability - 9/10 Connectivity - 3/10 OVERALL - 6.75/10 There is a current problem with the xbox series x and headsets that results in poor connection/sound and pressing buttons on the controller alleviates the problem temporarily. This is likely not turtle beach's problem but if it is, they still have not fixed it via a firmware update. First, the SOUND. It is very good. I play a lot of r6 siege where sound is critical and I find this headset to perform admirably in this area. Music and movies sound great too. The bass is deep enough while not washing out the mids. Footsteps are clear and sound locations are precise. There is no active noise cancelling but the way the headset is designed helps block a good amount of noise. 9/10 Next, the COMFORT. This headset is slightly too tight. I suspect this helps the passive noise canceling by providing a good seal with your head but it feels ALMOST too tight (though not quite there). I find these comfortable enough for long gaming sessions, they don't hurt my ears or head (and I don't have a small head), but they could certainly be much more comfortable. Also: the cooling gel really works! This headset does not get very hot which is great, My overall impression of comfort is that while it definitely isn't like wearing a cloud on your head, it likely won't start to hurt your head either. 6/10 Next, the DURABILITY. I have only had the headset for a couple weeks so I can't speak to longevity but the design feels very sturdy (especially compared to turtle beach's elite 800x's which I think they may have learned from). There is a metal band incorporated into the headband that helps lend it some sturdiness without adding too much weight. 9/10 Finally, the CONNECTIVITY. Bluetooth is such a great added feature that I really appreciate. Connecting to my phone while playing is a nice touch and that aspect really works well. The headset connects quickly to my phone with no issues. PC is another matter entirely. My laptop has xbox wireless built-in and has no trouble connecting to old-school xbox controllers/peripherals. My friend's arctic 9x headset connects no problem to my laptop. My old turtle beach elite 800x's connect to my laptop via bluetooth flawlessly. This headset refuses to connect at all. It won't connect via bluetooth or by xbox wireless pairing. It also won't connect to my desktop via bluetooth. I am also experiencing trouble with my xbox connection that I mentioned above. It is for these reasons I am considering returning my headset. After all, what good is an excellent sounding headset that won't connect to my devices? I just updated to the new firmware today and it has not resolved these connectivity issues. 3/10

Seemed like a decent product. A little over a year and a half out stress fractures appears in the plastic that hold the ear piece on. Had one ear piece sheer completely off and the other is developing the same cracks in plastics. TBs response was well that sucks, is been a year though so just replace it.

I’m writing this review over having these headphones for YEARS. I had the gen 1 for about 2 years and they lasted but at some point the plastics broke and the ear piece would dangle lol. So I bought these to replace them. They did amazing. These were my FAV headphones Sí bought the gen 2. But with the gen 2, you’re given a receiver to plug in to make the Bluetooth worth. The receiver stopped working several months after having the headphones and there’s no way to connect them. So even though the sound quality and comfort is 100%, you really have to look out for parts and pieces breaking. I don’t use these anymore but they worked really with first person shooters where you want that surround sound effect. It has bass, crisp sound, and I charged them once a week with daily gameplay. I recommend them, but you’ll need to be extra careful when handling these.

I like this headset. The only complaint I have is it likes to disconnect randomly for some reason. I have to turn it on and off until it wants to work. Sometimes rebooting my whole console. A bit of an inconvenience when you're in heated battles coop and need to communicate with friends. The cups are beginning to come apart as well. I've had them since the series X released so about 3yrs so maybe that's normal wear and tear. Other than that it's comfortable for hours on end and the sound is reliable and crisp.

I have not had a wireless headset since the original xbox so I can't really compare this one to any previous experience. The specs say battery life is 20 hours, I haven't tested this but I recharge once every 3 or 4 gaming sessions. Also everytime I power on the headset it gives a verbal charge meter, high medium and low. I would say the sound quality is definitely what you expect from turtle beach. It's clear, loud if you want it to be, and quiet when you want it. It has an equalizer but it can only be accessed from a smart phone. There is a button on the headset that will move between sound profiles, so that helps if you don't have a smart phone. The micro phone is pretty sensitive (also controlled with the app for a smart phone) so if you don't have a smart phone it might get annoying as it will pick up more of the background noise than you would like it too. The headset feels a bit tight on skull but the ear cussions are pretty thick so that helps against pressure on the ears, but the overall pressure on your head will still be felt. It connects to the xbox pretty easily, in fact so easy I forgot if it was automatic. It also pairs with a phone pretty easily and can simultaneously connect with a phone and xbox. However, occasionally the connection with a phone will drop and reconnect, sometimes repeatedly several times. Also occasionally the sound from the xbox will cut in and out, also repeatedly. I believe the issues just might be a heavily wifi/bluetooth enabled household. I recieved this headset as a gift but after having experienced it for a while, I don't know if it's worth the price ($150.00 u.s.). I do enjoy the headset overall and maybe all or most wireless headsets suffer similar problems but I'm really conservative with money.

I’ve been using the plug-in headset that came with my day one original Xbox for seven years now, so this is my first “real” gaming headset. So far it’s very comfortable to wear and the battery life is great. The app works well but is pretty limited as far as options. The only issue I’ve been having with it is every so often is mild connection problems. Every once in a while the connection will break up and I’ll drop sound but personally I think that’s due to my old Xbox that’s definitely starting to show its age. It only seems to drop out when something demanding was happening on screen and I think that problem will go away once I upgrade to the series X. Overall the sound quality is great and I’m very happy with it so far. I’ll update my review when the series x comes out and if it solves my mild connection issues.

Sound is phenomenal when connected to xbox and watching movies and playing games . Not the best bass but pretty good. My problem with this headset is its always disconnecting from my xbox the first few times i power it on. But it never turns off or drops connection when i am connected via bluetooth. I think it doesnt matter what headset you buy the wireless adapter thats built in the xbox or ps5 is bullcrap. I get that these console makers want you to buy accessories for their systems only but the connection adapters built in the game consoles SUCK! both xbox and ps need to go back to bluetooth . I never had these issues on xbox 360 or ps3. But once the disconnecting stops the headset is perfect . It just highly annoying to deal with

Getting better, last update fixed most of my connection issues. They would just drop connection sometimes and that’s was incredible frustrating as I’d have to power them off and then back on to reconnect them. Seems to be resolved now, and the sound is fantastic. Base is full and the sound profile seems very accurate, particularly when using Dolby atmos(it’s an additional cost on the console). Regardless, I am happy, mic quality is outstanding, much better than my old steel series headset. Having the simultaneous Bluetooth is a game changer, it’s fantastic being able to also be paired to a phone so you can easily answer an important call without having to stop gaming. Overall impressive headset, and now that the connection issue seems to be fixed I can officially recommend it to others.

I previously owned the TB Stealth 600 gen 1 wireless headset. While it worked well, the plastic construction where the earcups met the headband would break easily, even though they were adult owned and gently used. So when the Gen 2's came out, I was ready to buy the 600's again because TB seemed to address this issue and beefed that connection point up a bit. But after examining them in store, I found that they are still using just plastic and they felt like they would likely break at the same spot again. I bought the 700's instead, because they utilize metal in the headband which the cup extenders/pivot points are screwed onto. After owning them for a month, I am still very glad that I chose these headphones. They pair easily and flawlessly, the battery lasts a really long time between charges, the chat mic works well, and the sound is great. They are comfortable and light on the head and the material on earpieces is cool and comfortable even when wearing glasses. As for the dual pairing ability of both Xbox + Bluetooth, the ability to listen to music and use your phone while gaming is nice, but as other reviews have mentioned, your Xbox has to be powered on and you have to be within range (30 ft. or so). These headphones are pricey, but no more so than the other top tier headsets on the market. I would highly recommend these headphones to any Xbox owner who is wanting to enjoy wireless mobility, comfort, great audio and mic, and the ability to use them with their phone while gaming.

Been using this headset for a couple of months now, and I absolutely love it. We actually bought two, one at Wal Mart, and they only had one in stock, so we drove to Best Buy, where we also found just one in stock. Best Buy had it for the same price as Wal Mart. This isn't a cheap headset at $150, but you get what you pay for. The battery life is great. My son and I play for a few hours every night, and I typically charge the headset every third or fourth night, when the charge level gets to medium. The adjustability of the headset allows for a good fit for everyone. My sons head is vastly larger than mine, but the headsets fit us both perfectly comfortably, and they don't have the tendency to slip off your head as you move around, which is a problem I have had with other headsets. The sound quality is great, far better than the wired headset I used previously. They have deep rich bass, and clear highs. The mic is sensitive, and clean sounding. Overall, I am very happy with this headset!

Okay so I’m and old gamers.... and I’m pretty sure this is the best Turtle beach headset I’ve owned... for the most part because nothing is perfect... But let’s see if we can confirm my happiness Comfortable... check Sound... check... pun intended ..... almost as good as my Bose Q35 but definitely better then GEN1 700 TB Quality... better then my last two pairs of turtle beach’s headphones... so big check. Easy to use... for and old gamer ...check App friendly... Check... APPs are subjective.... most people have no love for app because they can either do too little or too much... I feel the turtle beach APP is just right... for most part... Are there things I would change sure... What are they. Not much really That said.... Battery levels voice prompts would be better served with a percentages because the high, medium and low level voice prompts are not informative enough and leave too much room for interpretation .... However it’s better then nothing because my old pair GEN1 700 had no voice prompts. And battery life is far superior to Generation 1 700 TB, so not a big change... more of a personal preference.. Also APP does address this with a bigger icon of batter life... GEN1 TB 700 no icon AT ALL.. What did turtle beach change. Buttons are Way better quality ... wheel volume control are mostly the same as before except one spins 360 and the other spins more like 180 up and 180 down.. That said... I would have still have added a actual volume bottom for music from my other connected deviceS... However the app does a great job addressing this problem...by giving you the opportunity to assign different default to the bottom wheel button... so that’s cool..... all though.... this only works when you’re playing solo... as you need the wheel Up or wheel down for voice chat volume.. just incase you have a party that has a heavy breather... this can be very tuff to listen too especially during The intense games.. not to mention a nagging wife or girlfriends or mother in the back ground... or little brother that needs his butt kicked..Because your on the console longer then your allotted time... ps I don’t have any of those problems... like I said... old gammer.. Mic is better only because you can conceal it and for the obvious reason ... because you can’t afford a pair of $250 Bose Q35 and you need your head phones to look like headphones in front of ... whoever... ps. Don’t have that problem... I own Bose and love them... Added extra voice prompts even though the voice of the person sounds like a sedated version of my mother.... However the Female voice does give you great assurance that your connected to Bluetooth and console.... The Overall weight is better not too light... feels like you have something on head unlike gen1700 TB., that I thought was too light...... but not so heavy you can’t game for 3-6 hours straight... And not so light you feel like they’re going to fall off when your chasing off to the bathroom because you found a place to hide in your game from the enemy... I love the USB to USBC for fast quick and easy charging just incase you forget to before the big game night...... because a 20 hr battery life has in most cases ...almost made me forget, that I even need to charge them at all... also full disclosure ... Fast charge is only fast with the right high output USB wall adapter... don’t quote me on this... purely assumed on my part... Lastly I also enjoy that the TBgen2 700 turn off when I turn off with my console... and they beep to let you know they are turning off along with voice promt of my sedated mother telling you they are off.. They also beep nicely when your playing to remind you to charge... and also They can be charge while using them... Good job turtle beach... old man ABob

Going to start out with the cons. Connectivity isn't that great, I can barely walk from my room to the kitchen without disconnection. Connecting a Bluetooth device while connected to an Xbox causes issues such as unable to power down the device without force shutdown (holding the power, Bluetooth, and Mode button at the same time). Other than that, it sounds great, and you can tune the the equalizer via the app. The new ear cup material is comfortable even while wearing glasses, and it doesn't run hot. The mode button can be programmed for other functions other than the default Super hearing mode. And one of the scroll wheels is programmable too. You can have control party chat levels (default), or mic monitor levels, and etc. The design is sleek, and the flush slide down mic has no problem picking up my voice. The Bluetooth functionality, which allows me to take phone calls or listen to music/videos from my phone without having to take off my headset or mute my mic. I can now also take these headphones with me as my all in one headset. They don't sound bad, they're comfortable, and the mic is good enough. And with 20hrs of battery life, they'll last through a couple days worth of gaming sessions. And the fast charge via USB C, 5mins charging = 1hr, works as advertised Yes, the negatives are pretty staggering, but I'm crossing my fingers on a software update, plus the forced shutdown fixes it.

I have the Steelseries Arctis Pros with Gamedac that i have barely used because they never fit my head. These headphones are super legit. The sound quality is amazing and you can tell no difference with these and my 350 dollar Arctis Pros honestly. The directly connect to the xbox wirelessly and thats always welcome. Problem? Well they're already creaking because of the plastic braces on the head band. Be sure to purchase the extended warranty for these like i did. I know I will be cashing it in soon. Oh yeah, my head is as big as a planet and they fit with room to spare. They do clamp down on you early on so i put mine on my speaker to stretch them out. Battery life is great and the blutooth connects to your phone so you can take calls while you play. Also, the app is good too. You can adjust all kinds of settings including a custom eq. Fantastic!
