The update for the headphones is terrible and they break super easy. My brother had to replace them 3 times.

Love that I can play video games and still be able to answer phone calls. Of course, I was thrilled by the sound which is amazing and enhances my game play. Best of all, I am pretty happy with the fit since headsets and my ears don't always get along.

This headset is garbage the bass is not good on them the surround sound does not sound good, and my friends cannot hear me on my mic half the time, and I have done the proper update and setup for them and they just are not good I am a TB fan I have had the px24 and then had the stealth 520 and both of them for me are better then these TB has fallen off and just aren't making good headsets anymore also these feel very cheap and there the main feat: the superhuman hearing is trash I am a competitive player on games like BF1, COD, and Destiny 2 and hearing footsteps for me you can hardly hear them the only plus is the Bluetooth app where you can control your headset, and also you can hear other sounds like direction of weapons firing and explosions but those are my only a few good things to say on this headset also one more thing is the loud crackle and poping you get that is loud and annoying. I will be returning these and be replacing them with Astro A40 for me wired are just better in general. (These are my experiences may be diff with other people) (These are used on ps4 pro)

not as good as they used to be...

for starters, sound quality is good. i like the app for faster access to adjusting the sound. and that's about all that's good about these. build quality has gone down hill compared to older models. battery life is terrible. i've had to reconnect the headphones to the bluetooth dongle just about every other time i use them. they will connect to my phone but even when i turn them off to charge, some how, charging them turns them back on. so i have to go into my phones settings to disconnect them. and this happens when using the ps4. i would want to watch a movie and not use the headset and never fails, plug them in to charge, the ps4 will switch to headset. now i am comparing these to a set of stealth 400 that i've had for close to 5 yrs and only reason i'm still not using them is b/c i lost the dongle for them. i could play for 6-7 hrs for 3-4 days till they needed to be recharged. and they seemed to be built better. better plastics, better feel, better sound, better mic, etc.

    Noise Cancellation is Great

The best part is the noise cancellation. With all the other audio that is playing in our house at any given time, noise cancellation helps keep the audio coming from my PS4 Pro at a level above that episode on my daughter's tablet.

    Awesome headphones

I really like these headphones. I initially went in for a less expensive pair. But after listening to these in store, I decided to spend a little extra and get these. I like the sound enough, it's not the most amazing sound I've ever heard, but certainly not the worst. The best part about these headphones is that I can wear them while wearing my glasses and there is zero discomfort or pressure. That's really the best part of these for me. I was skeptical about being able to wear my glasses with these but they're great.

Honest review of this product is that even though it boasts all the things is says. It only worked half the time. I got it out of the box and had to do a firm ware update and then the app I downloaded only worked some of the time. The connectivity issue is still an issue. Blue tooth to a phone seems to lack auto connection and worked half the time. I only got super human hearing to work once and then it never worked again. And the app mic check never worked at all. ANC works but barely. The actual audio from the PS4 seemed quiet and not loud enough. The blue tooth when it worked seemed to be a lot louder than when playing games for some reason. I was hoping it was the other way around but no, I had to play games with it turned up to max to hear anything and also with blue tooth music only I had to turn it all the way down because it was too loud. Dunno what happened here but all the other reviews aren’t as accurate so you get what you pay for here.

I received this product for free for review purposes. We've avoided purchasing gaming headsets due to the price tag. The Turtle Beach headset is affordable and both my husband and my son were impressed with the sound quality. Battery life could be a bit better but we always want out batteries to last longer than they do! The headset has also been great for listening to streaming music and video. Both have been happy with how comfortable they are too!

Horrible mic monitoring - good sound

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was really excited about getting these headphones. Ive had turtle beach in the past and have liked them. The sound on these are very good and got really loud at least for me. The amount of bass was shocking to me but almost distracting. Drfinitely will get your heart rate up in an intense battle. The virtual surround sound was OK. It did a pretty good job. But here is why I'm returning the headset. The mic monitoring level on these are a JOKE!! I have the slider all the way up and unless I turn the game volume way down I can't hear myself talk and end up yelling. I have been using the turtle beach 60p and the mic monitoring on those are perfect! Really once you're in a game and in a battle with gunfire going off bombs going off you simply can't hear yourself talking as if there was zero mic monitoring happening. I hope this is something they will fix in the future but I'm not going to wait. The headphones have become useless to me with out the mic monitoring feature working properly.

Let me start off by saying that I own two other headsets the Astro A40TR for Xbox one and the Hyperx cloud core, plus a pair of V-Moda M100. So I'm no stranger to headphones and headsets. This also is not a bad review against Best Buy. These headsets are, by far, one of the worst headsets you can buy for $130. I'll start off with the connection itself; Turtle beach is NOT using bluetooth but instead opted to use 2.4GHz sounds good in principle right? Wrong! The connection on this thing is utter garbage it cuts out every five seconds for around one second, sometimes longer. Keep in mind I'm five feet away from the usb sound card. So this thing is useless right off the bat. So does it at least sound good? I mean for $130 it has to sound good! Nope there's no option to have flat equalization, a feature that my old Turtle Beach x12 has, so what you get is the same sound a boombox from the 80's has. Strong bass presence that makes the mids muddy. There is no way to adjust this even in Turtle Beach's hub on PC. Surround sound; This is the one thing Turtle Beach got right the virtualization does a pretty decent job of placing sounds around your' head. It's no Dolby Atmos but it's pretty dang good for the price. Last but not least is if you own the PS4 Slim you cannot control chat volume, I know this isn't Turtle Beach's fault but they need to put it on the box. Sure you can bypass this by plugging the optical cord into your' tv. Here's the problem though; No 1. the included optical cord is not long enough (about eight inches). No. 2 if you're like me you're using the optical port already.
