Bought this for my boys, ages 13 and 11, who seem to enjoy it. Works better than their previous headset and they like the microphone attachment on this one better.

Surprising for the price! Good quality, sound, and very comfortable headphones. My ears are smaller and these didn't feel way too big like other headphones can do.

I had purchased wireless headphones for my son, but they needed constant recharging. We then bought the Turtle Beach ones and he absolutely loves them!

I don't know about surround sound, but they do sound well. My party seems to have a hard time hearing me once I unmute myself. I like the removable microphone.

Comfortable, decent quality and best of all compatible with the different platforms so don't need 3 or 4 different headsets!

I have a spare Xbox in our den that is used when company visits from out of town. Occasionally, we'll play online together but I have not had a spare headset to use and the factory Microsoft one is terrible. Went to Best Buy and found this on sale at the time to pick up and it has worked quite well. My only recommendation is to pick up one of the headset adapters that Turtle Beach also makes as it is easier to adjust the headset volume on the fly from the adapter on the controller than fiddling with the in-line adapter.

Turtle always make accessories with quality. My son is using it every day and still unbreakable with an amazing sound.
