Great headphones if you're on a budget

Being that he's a kid, there's no way I'm going to let him wreck my nice set. So now he has his own and for Xbox, Switch, and tablet use, it's perfect for the little guy. You cant go wrong with Turtle Beach sets. They've been around for a long time and there's a reason for that. Quality headset.

One issue

Great starter headset

I work night shift and have to sleep during the day which is difficult most days so having these headsets for the boys means I don’t hear their games going when I’m trying to sleep. We also liked the fact that the microphone is removable because they are still young enough that they do not need to be talking to other players online.

The old one was 7.1 surround, required a breakout box that was powered via usb and it took a toslink input. This plugs right into the controller. This product is better because Microsoft fixed the issue with chat and the audio to the conroller with the xbox 1. Really good sound for the money.

The sound is great but occasionally I will receive blank spots in the sound and I’m not sure if it is a potential short in the wire or if it is the headset. All in all I would suggest these for the average gamer but I’m sure if I played every day I would invest in a wireless set.
