NICE STAFF BUT...

We have had to have them return 5 times to get our new tv and audio system working properly. Even now- there are still problems yet unresolved. This has been a disappointing and time consuming project that we expected to go smoothly. Not what we paid for.

Calibrate Tv is a must!

False claim of service being done that hasn't been

I paid for the service at the time I bought my TV in November 2020, and was told to call to schedule the TV calibration after a few months. I called last week to schedule the calibration, and was told then that it had already been done. But no one has been out to my house since the TV delivery in December 2020. I was also told this service may no longer be available, and I would be given a refund. The Geek Squad Tech took my info and said they had to refer my issue to someone else, but I have not gotten a call back yet, or a refund. I will be calling them back for a refund this week. I am very disappointed and can't believe they show I had a TV calibration when it was never scheduled by me nor done.

Third party techs are not real knowledgeable!

HDR Calibration unavailable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Luckily I actually know my stuff and was able to point out the picture mode the technician was calibrating to was one I never use because all of the content i watch is HDR/DV. I was then informed Geek Squad does not technically calibrate for those settings at all, so if you have a 4K tv, do NOT waste your money until ISF updates their calibration standards to include HDR!

Amazing service by Geek Squad!

I was impressed by the Geek Squad technician who throughly explained every detail about how this process is done. Great attitude, great customer service, and Raul really made me feel like he was setting up his own TV calibration. Would highly recommend and you can really tell a difference regarding the before and after calibration effects, screen, image, color etc. If you really want to get the most out of your 4KHD Tv then get it calibrated.

It still hasn't happened

I am uncertain how BB allocates it's resources- but after several months, we still have not been provided with this prepaid service. I have been told that this will significantly improve our TV imaging- I sure hope that s true. We will see in several weeks. I used to a specific Geek from across town, he knew my network, system and components. Your recent changes in allocating Geeks to in-home services were changed and we can no longer request him. That was one major reason why I purchase the premier Geek Squad Protection Plan.

Waste of money

The picture quality was far worse after the service. The tech had the nerve to argue with me and tell me I had no idea what I was talking about. Worst part is i gave them a poor rating on his service and no one at Best Buy did anything about it or even bothered to ask me if they could do anything to make it right. Don't get sucked in and think you will get a better quality picture if they come do it.

Best Buy wasted my time.

Sat around all day waiting, called at 4 (because they gave me a 12-4 appointment time) and was informed it would now be 4-8, called at 8 and the said they would have to reschedule it because their calibrator couldn't make it. Didn't feel like taking more time off of work to be given the run around. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

PICTURE WAS BRUTAL!

The tech spent about 90 minutes working on tv. He set everything through movie mode which I feel is the worst looking mode to begin with. He explained the whole process and I anticipated a great picture. Well I was shocked to see a dull, beige picture which the tech told me was a "natural" true to life picture! It was beyond horrible! He told me to give it a week.....I changed back before he left the driveway! Glad it was half price. Never again

Did NOT do HDR or DV

I would highly recommend this service

After I watched it I realized it was no where near what the magnolia show room was displaying at. I was told to get a calibration and A 4K HDMI cable. After completion of the service it was like night and day. I had them calibrate with even the bright lights in my house. I'm a happy guy now with my toys.

Sony TV 8AF Calibration
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible picture after calibration. My old Sony XBR had a much better picture after it was calibrated. Technician was maybe at our house for 45 minutes working on calibration. Best Buy allows for 2 hours. Picture was completely washed out after he left. Hopefully, redo turns out better.

No one showed up

I contacted the store, sent in reviews no one cares that I waited all day and never received a call or service. Next stop, cancel tech service why have a service that the company doesn’t provide? Sad and unfortunate sharing that story in my community now and sent in message to Best Buy store 39 in OP Kansas..think I got a call back, nope. I’m an elite customer now that’s just funny.

Tech was a no show

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first day I was supposed to have my installation done the technician never showed up. I contacted the manager and he told me it was a mixup on their computer system. I was rescheduled for today and received a phone call from the technician an hour and a half before he was supposed to shop telling me he can’t come today because his computer is not working. I contacted Best BuyOn their one 800 number and they were no help either. I paid for total tech-support over a month ago and can’t seem to get them to do anything. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I would not recommend anyone use this service.

Samsung 9000 TV Calibration

The TV has so many calibration options you don't need to pay someone to come in and set it to their likings. Would not recommend with this TV.
