Russell identified that my 27 year old Nakamichi AV-10 Receiver had a optical input that would connect to the new LG, I purchased an optical cable and I was able to experience that same theater type sound but this time with a a 4k Smart TV. The Geek Squad team is awesome, an added value with any Bestbuy purchase.
