Cool but not worth the price for all the problems

I have allot of tech and i have never had so much trouble. The app constantly logs you off and you have to sign back in which sometimes doesnt work. So if you getting this to use with your smart home good luck. The costumer service was a joke they dont stand by thier product.

Great lights but 1 issue

The programmable patterns make these unique. The issue I had was that the packaging says these work with HomeKit. Twinkly said they do not support HomeKit currently, so I am confused why the packaging says that

Wasted over 2 hours of my life trying different ways to map the lights on the tree. Without the mapping, the whole point of this product is pointless. You can find cheaper LED lights with random settings. I will be returning asap.

Cool concept poor product

Won’t find and then connect to my network. So I can’t change any settings or colors, timer etc. ya know the whole reason to pay this much for lights. Steer clear until the company fixes their app

The app is great as well. I would've given 5 stars if it were not for the poorly-functioning Music Gen II it came with. The music module looks good in paper, but in reality it doesn't perform well as expected. I do not really see my lights "dance" to the music playing in the background. My recommendation is to just buy the lights, and skip the Music Gen II module.

So exchanged it for another set and installed it, mapped it and that set lasted about 3 hours before half the lights quit again. For 200 bucks with the $50 off sale i lost about 4hours of my life I'll never get back with these Twinkly lights

I’m very upset about this because I have already strung them up on my tree and now I have to take everything down to return the item. I can’t believe the product lasted barely a month and then went out.

Dead After Firmware Update

I reached out to Twinkly and they never responded. I don't recommend this product.

The app stinks and is completely non responsive. I’ve even deleted the app/redownloaded it. I’ve removed the lights and reinstalled them…it’s 2 days before Christmas and im so sad that my WiFi lights aren’t actually WiFi because the app stinks so bad.

app update worked wonders - terrific product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When i purchased this string light set a short while ago, I had so many challenges trying to get it to join my wifi network, even though i tried direct wifi connections, disabling the 5GHz portion of my wifi, what-have-you. I contacted their support, who responded promptly, and they informed me of an incipient update to the app which would simplify and ease the connectivity issues i was having. I was ecstatic when they were speaking truly! i hung the string lights up for Halloween, and the lights are bright, and the configuration options, i feel, are unmatched. Yes, the string set is a little pricey, but you truly "get what you pay for" in this instance!

However, they do not daisy chain, so each set needs to be plugged in. Also the power supplies die a lot and are never in stock on their website making your lights useless.

As mentioned for your review on the 250 String, for your concerns about the possibility of daisy chaining your devices, you can do it virtually by creating a Join-group on the app, so that you don't need to physically connect them, assuring the best performances possible on a tech level.
