    AmplifiHD vs EERO Pro

I bought the Eero Pro and it was suggested to try the Ubiquiti. The EP out performed the Amplifi HD hands down. The only rub I'm still not getting the performance I'm paying Comcast for. Thier tech came out and showed me the incoming signal was fine. Who knows.

Was shopping for a new router and was recommended the Orbi buy the Best Buy rep — I should have listened. I tried this and had nothing but glitches. There are so many other companies that offer a better product. Don’t buy this.

Its way over priced for what it is and the controls provided. Ended up with a TP-link product that offers ethernet backhaul and plenty of controls for home users.

I had high expectations for this after reading reviews. I moved from a first gen Orbi mesh WiFi system to this because the Orbi couldn’t handle internet over 500 mbps and I got 1 gig fiber. Switched to this and instantly went from averaging 550mbps over WiFi to below 100 mbps with the Amplifi. I had the internet provider out and they confirmed that I had 900+ mbps coming into the router. I then went to AmpliFi and their support is awful. They communicate over a chat box, it drops constantly and I was dragged around for 5 days. They kept telling me my speeds were fine because it showed on their end i was getting 600+ into the router. Well that didn’t make sense because I was just showed by my provider I was getting 900+. After multiple screenshots and excuses that didn’t make sense, and after five days they told me to submit a form to them and they will decide if I qualify for a replacement, but I decided to just take back to Best Buy and switch to the Linksys Velop. As soon as I hooked the Velop up, I instantly saw 900+ Mbps going into the router, and my wifi was broadcasting 750+ throughout the house. It's amazing how many excuses I received as to why I didn't see the speeds I expected, but as soon as I lit up another system, the speeds I expected showed up. I am sure I probably got a faulty router, and that's understandable because technology can fail. But the way their support handled the issue was the reason I decided to return and get something else. I also hated the whole chat box thing as their form of customer support.

This is a good basic mesh wifi router. Only issue i had was I could barely get 100 mbps speed on any device when i had 1 gbps connection

I pay monthly for 1GB w/ Xfinity. I think it may be them and not the router itself. This is the 2nd one I try.

The amplifi system is great coverage WITHOUT the mesh points! The mesh points kept throwing me offline. I went back and forth with tech support & they recommended I reset the mesh points. That didn’t work, one mesh point kept cycling. They recommended I submit a case for replacement. Really wish I’d gone with the Orbi mesh system but now I can’t return this one.

Latest update crashed smart home and dual band Echo Dots (Echo Dots pre Gen4 still work after having to reconnect everything). Tech support is only by chat. Expect to spend a few days troubleshooting as they will not contact you by phone and responses by chat are VERY slow. Latest response is "we will e-mail you". I am sure that e-mail will fix my issues. Had similar experience when I first purchased and sought support for the slow speed. No resolution by e-mail worked so I have been living with the slow speed. So sad that companies want to save a few $$ at the expense of customer satisfaction.

After two months of purchase I started having problems with my wifi at home. I called the manufacturer and I was told I was having a radio problem so I needed to return it to them for repair. I decided to take it back to Best Buy since I bought the warranty and would take less time. I got a brand new system but I still noticed the wifi going on and off. So I just decided to take it back and get a refund. Not worth the money.

Bought 2, one for myself and other for family member. Both of us have the same performance issues, coverage is good with the 2 additional points. Even if connected hard wired to the router, speeds are slower then what was obtained with the previous Asus routers. I replaced the Asus hoping to yet better coverage and performance but only achieved better coverage with this AmpliFi setup.

I wanted to be impressed with this mesh system but it constantly disappointed me. The Wifi speeds were unimpressive and inconsistent despite a gigabit connection from the ISP. Streaming 4k HDR content was choppy because the mesh system failed to keep up well despite my house being only about 2k sq feet. Overall, I'd stay away from this one.

I am disgusted. Ubiqui firmware update bricked it

Purchased this in April 2020. It worked great. Two years later--immediately after installing the most recent firmware--the router dies. It is a brick. Had I not updated it the router would still be working. I am so disappointed that Ubiquiti thinks that they can make disposable products--especially at almost $400. Disgusted.
