Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the AmpliFi HD AC1750 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System's ease of use, extensive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, frequently praising its simple setup and excellent performance. While some users found the price to be high and reported issues with the USB port and occasional connectivity problems, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns for many.

Bought to replace my aging Netgear R7000 Nighthawk and offered nowhere near the same signal strength and coverage, all while costing 3 times as much. Yes, it's nice looking and easy to setup, but if you're looking for mesh, steer clear of this garbage. Google mesh setup was the same and offered far better coverage.

We recently became in need of a new, more powerful router. After checking through many reviews while trying to keep the cost down as much as possible, we first bought another popular name router. Reviews were quite good for a respectable price. It was great when it worked. Very fast and could handle many devices. Long story short, after a week, we ran into many dropping issues. Continuously rebooting everything including my patience, which grew thin rapidly. Not being a tech person, this was extremely frustrating. Perhaps there was too much interference around competing for the airwaves? When asked what network to join, there are nine others showing. Perhaps this misfortune is unique to my house and area? Others have raved about it. I have to believe locations play a role in these routers. After giving it my all, I started another search for wifi units. Somehow, I stumbled upon this Ubiquiti - AmpliFi unit. I first checked the reviews and they were impressive. Several said it was worth every penny. Then I looked at the price. It was a tough pill to swallow, but so far I agree with my fellow consumers. This thing is absolutely amazing! Download the App, follow simple instructions and it sets itself up. Then plug in the mesh units one at a time. I only plugged in one. Didn't really even need that but since we have 2, thought it wouldn't hurt. We have a 2700 sq.ft. 2 story. Rather small yard and we are completely covered- even 5 houses down the street--with just the cube alone. (plugged the other mesh in later) Did random speed checks all over the house and the detached garage, all were great, some were higher but not by much. Very stable throughout. This setup is to cover 20,000 sq ft. No problem! I'll keep the extra plug in the box for the time being. It took me longer to open the box and remove the plastic than to set it up! It is that easy! Download the App, Unplug power from modem, Plug in the cat wire to back of the cube, Plug in the power cord to the cube and then the wall, Start setup on your App, Give it a name and password, Touch the screen for firmware update and wait a few minutes, you are almost done. Plug in any other cat wires needed for nearby devices, hook up other wireless devices and give them a name. Set up other plug ins as needed and update firmware. All my other devices paired up really fast. That impressed me. This cube is that powerful to coordinate rapidly. After everything I've been through with the first one going out, and the highly recommended 2nd one intermittently working, I am a happy man. I don't anticipate it but, should anything go haywire, I'll be back for an update. Also, this product is very Apple-esk. High quality product in high quality packaging. If you have been challenged with other products, stop wasting your time rebooting everything and calling for help. Bite the bullet, spend the money and gain great WiFi and peace of mind. Hope this helps.

2 things I didn't like. I wanted external hard drive for stored movies and such. this unit has a USB port but company will not support it. period. I then bought a WIFI external drive but when using it through the network the router would connect/disconnect even with great signal.

I was replacing a Netgear night hawk router which was very good. But I wanted slightly better performance in my 2000sq ft house. This router performered much slower in almost all places in my house. I really didn't expect that to be the case. I couldn't get more than 200mbps and I could get 300 on my Netgear router. Sadly I returned this.

I expected more for the price. It enhances the reaching of the internet signal, but it is not as i expected, too expensive for that.

Nice app, beautiful build quality, but in the end that doesn't make up for poor performance. Wireless throughput was acceptable, however there is hardware or firmware bug that prevents wan to lan throughput above 500 Mbps, consequently if you have a service that exceeds this you will never be able to saturate it with this router. Contacting support did not resolve my issue.

Setup was easy and worked great for a few days. Called tech support and was told I need to return the router for a new one. When I went to exchange was told the failure rate on these has been very high. Returned and bought the Netgear Orbi instead and have been very happy.

This unit is incredibly simple to install. The iPhone app couldn't be easier to use. For the novice with little to no special requirements its just a matter of turning on your bluetooth and waiting for the unit to connect with your phone. You give your wireless network a name and enter a password. Thats it. Upgrading from an older Netgear Blackhawk took less than five minutes. It took longer to peel all the plastic off the router than it took to get this running. For those not acquainted with the brand Ubiquiti they are a large enterprise system type equipment provider. This is the first unit in a consumer market and its a home run. The guts of this router have the same DNA as their enterprise equipment. Don't be fooled by the cute looks. This little box means business. Most homes have a couple dozen network devices all fighting for bandwidth on your network. Consumer grade routers choke when all these devices suddenly want bandwidth at the same time. Think of it as what happens when you're on the freeway and they close the right lane ahead... Everyone has to slow down to allow those right lane drivers to merge. This router keeps all the lanes open all the time. The two mesh nodes completely filled my 2500 sq/ft split level with 100% signal on the 5Ghz AC band. The system will automatically route devices to the appropriate network band depending on signal strength or media type. My Roku's all connected on the 5ghz band, while smart home devices connected on 2.4ghz. If you don't like the system doing this automatically you can change the settings in the app to separate the networks. What I really like is the ability to turn off internet access to single devices anytime I like. If you need to set a schedule for individual devices they have a way to define this in the app. Perfect for homework time. I contacted tech support with a question about port forwarding. They have several ways to reach them including 24/7 chat. The person on the other end of my chat session was knowledgeable and got my questions answered in no time. Ever try contacting anyone at Netgear or Dlink for help? Good luck. If you want a whole home network system that looks great and actually WORKS and doesn't look like some UFO or evil spider with tons of antennas then this is for you. Having full bandwidth for all your devices is amazing. It was so noticeable that even my wife asked what changed. The company isn't likely one you've ever heard of but rest assured this unit performs!!!

I selected this product because of Ubiquiti's enterprise products and their proven success, but that hasn't translated to the home network market. The App only interface was a huge disappointment and working with their technical support, it took two days to connect both satilites. It finally maintained a solid SSID; however, the base router kept dropping the internet signal from my ISP. I returned this item and have implemented Netgear's Orbi and have had no issue.

We have now had two different units. On both units, once we updated the firmware, neither could detect an IP address or could even tell their was a cable plugged in. Don’t waste your money
