Ah, the UE Boom 3. The previous generation speakers were already pretty dang good. Great bluetooth range, battery life (8-12 hours) depending on how much you taxed the BT range and if you had speakers paired. Decent sound, ability to act as a speakerphone should you decide to take a call on a nearby speaker. Rugged cool design. So, how do the UE Boom 3s stack up? Any reason to choose these over the Boom 2? The answer is a resounding yes. Here's why: 1. The Boom 3 continues the cylindrical design with a much tighter weave. You end up with a bluetooth speaker that looks a bit more stylish. 2. Battery life, bluetooth range, sound performance is all unchanged. You are not losing out on features and functionality. In fact, battery life is a bit up by a couple more hours. 3. There's a new "magic" button. This can play/pause music and via the app, allows triggering playlists with one touch. 4. Despite being more stylish, more rugged. The previous speakers can handle water, but this seems more designed for it. Floats better (or actually, depending on your view), sounds just as good under water. 5. With the latest BT technology, it can pair to more source devices, up to 8. I only had three sources available to test and that worked well. 6. Perhaps the most useful change, the charging port! On the prior models, one plugged in via usb on the bottom of the cylindrical speaker. This meant either standing it upside down if you wanted to play music while charging or rolling it on it's side. Now, with the port rotated up, one plugs in at the "back" of the speaker while it stands upright. I know this seems minor, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has set their Boom 2s on top of the cord, putting stress on the cable and usb connection on the speaker. In short, I'm impressed with the Boom 3s improvements.

This is my first purchase for this brand, so far so good, but have not used it enough to know much about it, hence the 4 star instead of 5. it was very easy to set up...hope this helps.

Good speaker for the price when I bought it. Doesn’t have great base, but it serves its purpose for backyard hangouts.

I bought this for my wife for her birthday. She loves it

I love the fact that it is loud and it gets the job done.. Byt I’ve only had it for a few weeks and it won’t hold charge. It won’t even play while on the charger. I would have it charging for 5 hrs and it would die in 10 mins of playing. I don’t think that is how it work haven’t had the chance to take it back yet glad I have insurance. Very disappointing

Speaker bass sounds great and speaker is loud for its size

Been hit or miss. Sound is great. Connects to phone good. Battery life has been all over the map. Anywhere from 2 hours to 6.

Charging port constantly malfunctioning after use.
