It sounds kind of flat compared to some of my home speakers. If you put it all the way loud it doesn’t sound that good. Even while trying to customize the EQ it wasn’t as good as I was expecting. It’s not the worst but if you like blasting edm you will most likely feel underwhelmed

I've owned previous UE Boom speakers and never had this problem. I will be returning it to you.,

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry you're having issues with your device. Here is a possible solution:You can connect your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 to your smartphone, tablet or other device using the Bluetooth button. Out of the package, your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 is ready to pair with your first Bluetooth device. Here’s how:
Turn the speaker on by pressing the power button on the top of the speaker. The power indicator will glow white, the Bluetooth connect button (above the power button) will blink white rapidly, and you will hear a tone indicating the speaker is ready to pair.
On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth menu and scan for devices (make sure Bluetooth is enabled).
Select BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 from the list of devices.
Once paired and connected, you’ll hear an audible confirmation from the speaker. This means your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 is ready to use. You can pair additional devices with your speaker, see Connecting your speaker to additional devices. If you need further assistance please contact support on the website at https://ultimateears.com/

Room filling sound in a small package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure what to expect from this speaker but after streaming a variety of music through it I am thoroughly impressed. For such a small speaker it can get loud and will definitely fill and small to medium size room with ease. I have 4 daughters under the age of 9 and it is louder than they are!!! It is pretty cool also how it creates a 360 degree sound field to fill each part of the room if it is in the middle of a room. It was easy to connect to and had my phone paired to it in under 60 seconds. I did install the Ultimate Ears app on my phone. This cool app let's you customize the sounds to have more mid or hi and also make adjustments to the bass. You can also setup your favorite genre of music within the app and it will pickup the music where you left off when you connect back to it with the app open. The battery life so far holds up as long if not longer than my last bluetooth speaker that used to go to the pool or beach with us. We haven't had the opportunity to take this one to the pool yet but I don't see that being a problem for this guy. It feels very solid and the rubber port cover fits very snug so I would not expect there to be any issue at the pool as long as you have secured it into the charging port. Overall this speaker impressed me more than expected. If you like to jam out by the pool or outside and want clear audio that can really crank then definitely give this one a try.

He loved the look and how easy it was to use and pair to his phone. However, the battery life isn’t what the packaging said. It would play music for about an hour or two and then needed to be charged. I was still able to exchange the item for another one and I got the same exact one for a second one and the same thing happened. Unfortunately I will not be giving it a third try it is such an inconvenience to keep having to go to the store for the same thing.

I"m not sure, But maby hrad porobelems my also exist. I don't know. At anyway, Maby there should be some sort of hard copy manuals for the customer who is not technically savvy and do not understand impariant explanions. it. does't meet the requirments=========================================.

I have rarely been more disappointed with a product. The Party Up is a pain to set up and keep working. Pushing the +- buttons to get the % of battery charge doesn't work. UE/Logitech support says the firmware doesn't support it and it may be in a future firmware update. Never mind that the brochures tell you to use that 'feature.' The firmware version of my older Boom 3 is v1.4.38. The version of my newer one is v1.0.15. Asking why the difference and why the new one has an older firmware, support told me that it might be the date of manufacture and wait for firmware updates but they can give me no indication of when that MIGHT arrive. The support sites for UE and Logitech have absolutely no useful information and the customer support can't tell you anything. I would avoid this speaker like the plague..

Amazing travel size speaker

It is as good as my original Megaboom which is several years old and this is half the size.
