The only added benefit is the ability to float - nice for the pool maybe, but that's it! The bass sounds muddy. You can pair via normal means or via the app-store app which allows a little more control over the sound, but still, it's not worth the selling price.

I have the mega boom three and it wants to be plugged in all the time just to be used. Highly don’t recommend. if I play music while the bass is very noticeably there, the speaker just cannot handle it and it says critical battery. It’s so annoying because now I have to find a new charger for it. It’s not worth it.

Had to go through manufacturer for a replacement speaker. Dragged their feet until I contacted the Va State Attorney General Office. Got a replacement, less than four months, SAME problem as first speaker, would not charge. Going back to them for my money. This produck is junk.
