Great for indoors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.took this speaker for a bike ride for the first time and the battery only lasted 2 1/2 hours....a long shot from their “12 hour” claim. I was told it was normal when I called them and they don’t recommend it being outdoors for long?! I thought it was suppose to be a speaker for adventures since it’s waterproof and drop proof. I’m extremely disappointed that I can only really use this speaker indoors.

Product was good until it stopped charging

Not an upgrade over the UE Boom 2

Loved the 2 and was expecting good things but was disappointed. Speaker is not nearly as loud as it’s predecessor, feels lightweight and cheap compared to the previous version. I found out I can replace the battery on my Boom 2 so I will be doing that and returning this Boom 3.

Okay Sound

Lasted 10 months, now dying. "Ultimate?"

One famous speaker manufacturer was Advent, which one 2014 article (www.audioholics.com/loudspeaker-design/most-influential-speakers) claimed Advents were the No. 2 most influential speakers of the past 50 years. Unable to afford new gear then, I bought a pair of “Small Advent” speakers used. Simply wonderful speakers that lasted about 25 years in homes across four states, before the cone of one finally dry-rotted. In April 2020, I put a Boom 3 to work. I’ve never played music very loud and don’t tax my equipment. Figured the Boom 3 would last indefinitely. In February 2021, it’s failing. Sound began intermittently cutting out one day for no apparent reason. Advents. 1970s tech, lasted 25 years. Boom 3. Twenty-first century tech, lasted 10 months.

I am sorry that you have experienced issues with your Boom3 speaker; I would like to help. If you have not already done so, please download the "Boom" app. Here you will find firmware support, equalizer adjustments and further support. If you are still experiencing issues after checking for a firmware update, please do a factory reset. I have attached a link with the steps below.
(Please press the Volume “–” and Power buttons simultaneously and hold for at least six seconds). For further assistance please visit support on the Boom app or through the support website. I hope this solves the issues that you have experienced.

Not what we had hoped for.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The speakers had a very tinny sound with feedback. It could be that they were not far enough apart, but it was in a theater with good acoustics and they did not do the job we had hoped for.
