Customers are saying

Customers find value in the updated graphics and portability of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, along with the inclusion of new characters and the fun, classic gameplay. However, some feel the price point is too high for the amount of content offered, and a few have noted challenges with the controls. The art style also received mixed feedback.

Here it is, after so long. The final version of the legendary CapCom classic. I didn't expect it to be a Switch exclusive, at least for now. It actually plays pretty well, but it might not be for everyone.

The game, while it does lack a few features that would've made it a 6-star rating, it's worth getting if you ever grew up playing Street Fighter II through the SNES or even Arcade days in the 90s. It pays homage to it while being a whole new beast on it's own that has Super Turbo fans like myself loving it.

If you are a fan of Street Fighter, this rendition is a great one to have to add to your Switch collection. I probably would not have purchased this for a home console as it is just one of many remakes that are out there.. but for portability along with multiplayer on the go.. this is a great game to have.

Fun, but dissapointed you can't do 4 on 4

I was expecting that 4 players can play, but you basically can do 2 on 1 vs the computer, if you beat them twice you win, if they beat you once, they win. Fun to mess around with Uniform Colors, but the game isn't any more complex than the original arcade version, nothing really cool if you win.

It's Street Fighter II again. You can switch between old and classic graphics and sounds. However, you need to go out to the main title menu options to do so. It would have been better if you could do it during player select or mid-match.

This is another update to Super Street Fighter II Turbo like Super Street Fighter II Turbo Remix HD a couple years back. It has balance changes and the addition of two new characters new to Street Fighter II, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

Reminds me of why I fell in love with fighter games. I enjoy the simple but fun customizing of the characters. The multiplayer where 2vs1 is extremely short and that is the only reason it gets four instead of five stars but if that doesn't interest you then consider this a five star review.

I was skeptical about getting this game. The last few street fighter releases have been disappointing in my opinion. This game is far from that! Very fun to play. The online mode is GREAT though it's not the best setup and the points/ranking system is confusing. Overall it's worth the money.

Street Fighter II's latest iteration: Ultra Street Fighter II released for the Nintendo Switch with tons of new modes and rebalances to the historic game. The game is very much worth every penny if you're a long time fan of the franchise so make sure to pick it up immediately.

A very good game but not great or ground breaking. What makes it a great buy is the play on the go feature the switch gives you. Don’t get me wrong it’s a very good game but it has nothing that makes it stand out much from other street fighter games

It's a good nostalgic game ... that probably will impress someone who is not expecting too much. It has a cool art gallery, memorable music , key characters and an actual arcade mode (shout out to SF5). But the issue with this game for me ( and probably anybody competitive) is online. The online mode is for anybody who wants to but can't go back into time to the physical arcade. So the problem with this mode is that the net code fluctuates from decent to very bad - to the point - that winning during a laggy match doesn't even feel satisfying. No competitor likes to compete against a external factor beyond the game and that's what tends to happen often. Other than that the game could be cheaper, but overall not a bad purchase.

What can you say about this. Its Classic Street Fighter with a crispy HD makeover. Online play is fun and consistent. Way of the Hado Seems shoehorned in and not incredibly fun, but overall this game is a classic and is awesome playing on the go with the Switch.

I bought this game because I love the cover on the box. I've played the remake on other consoles and it is great to have it physically on the switch plus it does have extra content like Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. It also has the Hodoken first person game.

Pretty much the same old street fighter but now on the switch. The simple controls are refreshing from today's modern fighters that use all 8 button and 2 directional pads at once. My 8 year old nephew could play against me, so it's easy for kids to learn.

My nephew wanted this game so i got it for him to let him discover how awesome the Street Fighter series was when I was younger. He loves the game and has learned more tricks to beat me at it. He is going to be a great gamer and loves the classics.

The game is the same as I remember it as a kid. I wish they had the bonus rounds to destroy the car and barrels. If they did, I would have given it 5 stars. Other than that, game is fun to play and get young kids to live the same experience as I did.

This game has always been a classic. Had to get it to warm up for the Collection dropping later this year. street fighter 2 does not disappoint, still as good as it’s always been. I’d definitely recommend picking this up for any fighting game fan.

Fun Upgrade of Retro Street Fighter

This is a fun game for the Nintendo Switch. I don't believe that it has as many options and features as Street Fighter IV and V, but it allows you to play and listen to the music in both retro and hd remastered versions. There are also ranked and casual online modes. There is a color editor that allows you to design your own skins for any character. A downside is that I didn't notice any unlockables, so if you are motivated to play by collecting currency to spend on statues or something else, then you may want to invest in a different game. Overall, it's an entertaining game. I don't know if it's worth $40, but there is definitely some value in this 2d fighting game for Nintendo Switch.
