I was amazed by the bulb when I installed it on for my bedroom for the first time. With the ilumi app, I basically can adjust the color to whichever I want, which is perfect for home-party. The brightness of A19 is enough for me, but I would suggest the BR30 for a larger room. I especially like the app associated with the smart bulb. It's quite useful to wake me up after I setting up the Torch to turn on the bulb at 8:00 am on weekdays. If you have a bunch of ilumi bulbs, it would be more fun to set the schedule for all of them.

Installation: -As promised this product is extremely easy to install using the ilumi app. Unlike other household smart products, the discovery of new devices does not require you to change any wifi settings (such as connect directly to new device directly then switch back to your home network) since the connection is bluetooth. App immediately discovered bulb and I was changing brightness and color in seconds in the intuitive app interface. Features: -I am using the A19 in a living room table lamp, replacing a CFL 3 way bulb. The brightness levels are very impressive!. Even though only a 60W equivalent, I have found that in doing a side by side comparison with a 100W equivalent (both behind same lamp shade), I could not find a difference. -Color Changing - The ability to change the bulb to virtually any color came in handy immediately as I was able to slightly vary the color from a pure white to a "soft white" to match other lamps I had in the area. (only until go and purchase ilumi bulbs for those lamps too) -Music Sync - Very neat feature to use when friends are over. The app will play through the music on your phone (or you can create a playlist) and have the bulb(s) dance along to the tracks in a variety of styles. One of my favorite features. -The Torch feature also has been handy. It allows me to leave the lamp switch on and the bulb will power down after I leave the house with my phone. In the same sense, it will power on when I return. I have mine set to always behave this way but you are able to define a schedule for when this feature is enabled. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. At a low price point AND without the need to worry about communication hubs and extra hardware, these are a solid choice to replace bulbs in my home. The best part is that you can install them in any existing bulb application in your home and use them with a light switch, just as you would your existing bulbs, but then control them with your app at the touch of a button. I would recommend this product and believe that it is the way to go to easily add lighting control to your home at a great price!

If you're looking to buy these and use them with an Android device, don't waste your time. Check out the reviews of the ilumi app on the Play Store and you'll see why. Even with the supposedly updated app, features don't work, the bulbs don't stay connected, and the app is a piece of junk (just look at the screenshots of the iOS app on their website and compare them to the piece of junk app they gave Android users). If you have an Android phone, don't waste your time or money, look elsewhere.

I have the first generation ilumi bulb, so am not surprised by the functionality of this bulb. The new design is very sleek, and mimics a typical incandescent bulb in size and shape. The difference is quickly apparent, though, in the ability to control the lighting experience via iPhone app and to set both color and light intensity, as well as automate lighting experiences for different situations and moods. I am currently using this bulb in a bedroom lamp, and i absolutely love the sunrise experience. I find it makes gradually waking to increasing light a pleasant experience. (Maui sunrise is my favorite setting!) Also love the auto bulb-off and the vacation mode for when I am traveling. For the price, this is a great smart-bulb option that requires very little in the way of set-up. The app is easy to use and offers numerous options for controlling the bulb intensity, color, and endless other options. I am looking forward to replacing all my bulbs with this smart-bulb option. Tried this out as a "sunrise" alarm clock, as my first smart bulb. If you aren't planning to connect your whole house with smart bulbs, this is less expensive (Philips has cheaper bulbs, but req. a $50-60 hub to start your smart bulb collection). That was my reason for trying this one. Pros: slightly higher lumens than Philips, app has some good themes and saves your 5-6 prior color choices, setting up/customizing/scheduling is a bit odd, but easy. Bulb turns on when power is physically turned on at the switch. Cons: iOS app (the new app as of 4/17) has major bugs to where I returned the bulb. After setting the initial color and scheduling a wake-up theme, changing the settings/color/theme would not saves so you're stuck with the initial setup. Again, setting things up was a bit odd, as well.

This will be my 4th ilumi, and while the hardware is great, the software leaves a lot to be desired. The problem with the ilumi lamp is that it is just a lamp until you pair it with your smartphone, and then it's still just a lamp until you tell it to do something with the App you've loaded on your Smartphone. If the app does not function, you have a very expensive LED lamp. ilumi has been promising an updated app for a while now, and hopefully will be able to deliver something that functions as well as their hardware does. Until then, I'll wait before purchasing more.

Wanted to change the lighting in my room for a while, came across this bulb little pricey but deff worth it. Even on regular setting you can adjust dimness and brightness and let me tell you it is BRIGHT. Option to change different colors is very neat, can change all setting from the app on your phone

The set up was extremely easy and the different options for auto ON are really nice. It works great for when I am on vacation and it turns on and off like it would when I am home. Great product, I want these in all of my lamps!

My roomate and I have had so much fun with it- so easy to use and really handy. A really fun gift!

I didn't know i could love a light bulb. Seriously my family has never had success with finding bulbs. Other bulbs are either not bright enough, or burn out in the first week of using them. Also you DO NOT need a bridge with this bulb! as far as I'm aware it is the only smartbulb you don't need to purchase a bridge to accompany it. i would absolutely recommend this product.

This product is wonderful! No hassle installation. Quick set up and usability. Perfect for anyone who wants versatility and a way to personalize their home environment.

The ilumi was very easy to install - just put the bulb in a fixture and download the app. The app opens with easy tutorial instructions explaining how it works. The app checks for firmware updates for the bulb and automatically installs them, so you don't have to go hunting for updates.

I especially enjoy the programmable "sunrise" option, I haven't needed my alarm clock since setting it up. The lights are bright enough and easy to adjust, and the color quality is excellent and fun to play with. I've set up a cooler toned preset for mornings and a warmer toned one for evenings. Note : there is a new app coming out for these lights in a couple months, should make things even better.

This is the first time that I have a smart LED bulb. The installation and setup is easy. My kids love that the color can change and they can control it on cellphone. The price is OK given the fact it is a new and appealing product. I still need more time to play with it but so far we love the bulb.

This product is awesome. I love the LED changing options. You can choose a mode where colors continuously fade from one to another or choose any individual color to keep on. Overall, nice design, nice product

The app is unreliable. I got it set up with timers, but once Daylight Savings time hit, the app didn’t adjust with it. Now the bulb turns off an hour too early. I have tried to adjust it, but changes don’t seem to stick. This has been a very frustrating bulb to work with.

Better than Philips HUE. Better light and color palette

Good idea, but if you get two of them the colors are off. Returned barley two hours after I got them. Slow response to input. Have to tap multiple times. Short range on bluetooth..

I own 22 of these lights and the APP and Lighs are SOOO buggy they always loose connectivity. It's been one year of waiting for them to fix the lights and still the latest version Dec 2016 is WORSE than ever! Take a look at the app ratings in the Play store or App Store. Tells it all!!!! DO NOT BUY!!
