The Sum 41 of the past was my favorite band. Songs such as Motivation, Fat Lip, In Too Deep, and The Bitter End (just to name a few) are definitely some of the best punk songs out there. This new album doesn't really compare to the ones of the past and the reason is quite obvious: the loss of their best guitarists David Baksh, who is known for many of the riffs in their songs. Apparently him and the rest of sum 41 had a falling and now he has his own band called Brown Brigade. Sum 41 in this album have a few songs that sound like songs made by Green Day or Yellowcard. this album is still good but not as great as the sum 41 of the past.

I've always loved Sum 41, and this gives me another reason why. This cd has a surprising amount of slower songs, but they are still amazing. This definitely goes back to classic Sum 41, with great lyrics, music, and the punk rock vibe. There isn't even a song on it that I don't like. I definitely recommend Underclass Hero to anyone who likes Sum 41, or just punk rock in general.

I've been w/ Sum 41 since Half Hour of Power. Every album seems to get better and better until this one. It definitely didn't blow my socks off. Very mellow, very political, a disappointment when you're hoping for upbeat, move-your-feet music. I mean, i bought, i'll listen to it, but it wasn't great.

Good album, not great. worthy of 5 stars to me though. some tracks were dissappointment to me, such as king of contradiction. sounds alot like green day. im not a big fan of green day though. underclass hero was a good song, its the hit song off the album. march of the dogs is an ok song. dear fatther, look at me, best of me, confusion and frustration in modern times, and so long goodbye are slow songs. but i enjoyed the album. i would reccommend you buy this, or just go on itunes or single song download sites and purchase the following songs ~underclass hero ~ march of the dogs ~Pull the curtain ~speak of the devil those were good songs off the album.

My husband introduced me to Sum 41 and while I wasn't a HUGE fan, I definitely enjoyed their music. This album was quite interesting. I always thought of Sum 41 as the ultimate Punk Rock band, always upbeat and get you on your feet dancing kind of music. While the songs on this album were slower then the typical Sum 41 songs, I really enjoyed them. It was a great change and all of their songs are easy to catch on to. Great songs that are easy to sing along to! Love it!

Though not as immediately engaging as their past two releases, upon a second or third listen I've realized I love the whole album. Especially The Jester, Underclass Hero, Speak of the Devil, and March of the Dogs. Though some may find the slower tunes on the album surprising and unlikely I find them enjoyable.

    Too Slow

The person below says that she thought that Sum 41 was supposed to be the ultimate Punk band. Sum 41 is good but there far from the Ultimate punk band. If you looking for the ultimate punk band you need to look at Pennywise, Offspring, and the s3x Pistols. If you like sum 41 like me then this album might be dissapointing. Its way to slow, Not close to Punk at all, and to me has a little to much religious lyrics that kind of bugs because most punk music involves lyrics about the government no religion. Personally i was a dissapointed i like the fast punk related Sum 41 that you see in "all killer No filter", "Does the look infected," and "Chuck" Now im a little afraid to see them in concert i dont want to pay money to see them play slow songs.

The only good track is the 1st one. Not their greatest Album but at the $6.99 price tag its one cheap album and that shows.
