After Pop got another speeding ticket, we knew we couldn’t get him to change. Bought this radar detector, is top of the line.. For Pop, it was just too much..beeping, buttons, etc. I tried it & was in love, it is very specific about which type of radar it detects, has the ability to ignore the alert caused by the local grocery store, or ignore obsolete signals entirely (like the ones grocery stores tend to transmit) that law enforcement no longer use. But..I unfortunately can’t swing a $400+ radar detector..

This unit works the best. I couldn't have made a better buy than this one. Works just as it was described, To me no flaws and would tell I my friends this is one to have in your car,

This radar detector works as expected. It does very well at alerting u of a cop at a distance with the only shortcomings being coming up over a hill; i dont think this is unique to this unit. from my little experience with laser speed guns, it would seem most detectors fail to alert u before its to late. Once again, not a problem unique to this device.

Best radar you can buy, accurate and precise, and easy to install

this was the best few hundred dollars i have spent...great range and has saved me dozens of times...the only downfall is the 2 suction cup mount...i ended buying the 3 suction cap option and has not fallen off the window in 2 years

Worked very well on our recent vacation roadtrip. 3000 miles and extremely accurate. Will pick up a lot of cars lane departure sensors. You’ll notice the frequency on those and be able to mute.

Bought this for second car when I didn’t have time to wait for an escort - with all the Best Buy discounts ended up being 1/3 the price on my escort max. Just as functional as the max and no noticeable difference in range - drove half way across the country and alerted me to every radar with time to spare!

The R3 is a beast it detects front and back and get`em a long way. a must have.

My son purchased this Uniden - R3 DSP Long Range Radar/Laser Detector for a long range trip. It helped keep him in a safe speed range and detected potential speed traps. It has the added bonus of keeping him in a safe speed range for local trips too. It is a high quality product with many advanced detection features.

There is a common misconception with these devices; they are not cop detectors. With that being said, it does a fantastic job at picking up active radar. I run only Ka band as that is what is primarily used by LEO’s in my area.

This was my first radar detector purchase about a month ago and I am very happy with it. There are tons of options in the settings to detect all sorts of bands including laser and it detects these signals in a pretty far radius. I'm not one to speed too often but this can definitely save you some money from tickets in the long run.

I love the product, it works great. It spots the cops and red light cameras from far away!

I have this and the Uniden R1. No real difference except for the GPS, which doesn't seem that useful to me. The problem with this unit is the false alarms. Whether on the highway or in the city, not a minute goes by without the blaring blast of K band. Both before and after the latest update it was a constant stream of these false alarms. I had an older Beltronics that didn't go off nearly as often. The only saving grace (for my situation) is that you can turn both X band and K band off completely. I am only lucky that in my area law enforcement generally only uses Ka band and not K band. Otherwise I would have returned this after one day. I wouldn't recommend it though. Reading reviews there are other detectors out there that have fewer false alarms. If you need it for K band find another detector.

GREAT RADAR DETECTOR - THIRD ONE PURCHASES FROM BB. These work very well. Always gives a good notice before you see a officer. No tickets yet... knock on wood.

Works great and detects from over a mile. Saved me a lot. I for sure recommend getting this.
