You can't beat the range in this price point, and the rear detection is surprisingly good considering the lack of rear antenna. I only don't use it anymore because I got a Uniden R7

I'm glad I got the R3, the range is excellent. I've had KA alerts a full mile before the police car was in view.

I did a lot of research on the right radar detector to buy and I feel I made the right choice. Only minor complaint is I wish the cord was on the opposite side.

I highly recommend watching some YouTube videos on adjusting the settings. Downloading and updating the firmware is not as easy and straightforward as it should be.

Amazing Radar Detector

The long range feature is amazing. It has picked up radar about 1 - 1.5 miles out it gives you enough time to slow down.

Peace of mind

K band is set off by local grocery stores etc. But la laser is awesome. Saved me at least two tickets already. Open road/highway is awesome and a peace of mind

Can detect before I see it

Only caveat to this for being 4 stars is that if I muted it, it comes back on when it detects another radar later on and start beeping again, other then that...this product is great!
