    I got this for my girlfriend because her new job brings her past 40 miles of various speed traps daily. I set it up for her and it really needed to be tweaked because it was going off when it shouldn't and then not going off when it should. I was willing to tweak it to perfection for her but she was very disillusioned by how "non-plug-and-play" it was--so back to the store it went. Definitely not for non-tech geeks.

    I purchase this radar detector while out of town. It’s an upgrade from my 7 year old bell detector. Driving 1,000 miles back home I had bother radar detectors on my dash. My old bell worked perfectly except false detections of K band. The new uniden R3 never went off the entire trip. Will be returning it ASAP
