Who would have thought? There was a solution to
all those remotes? We have one universal remote now to do everything.

A very nice light weight remote that has a large screen and easy to use once programmed. It can have programmed six independent functions so is very versatile. A bit pricey but worth the money. The battery can be replaced so the remote will be useful for a long time.

I'm learning, the installer that brought itand set it up was very patient with us in explaining. As always, it's a new product and different than our other universal remote

Very easy to use once one first learns how to use it (DVR leads to one's recorded programs--not DIGITAL VIDEO recorder). A gentle shake lights it up so one can see controls in a dimmed room.

Works good , but you have to always have it pointed in the right direction. I think I’m going to get the additional component that allows the remote to work through wood.

I already reviewed this in another category. My review is affected by the fact that I don’t think I should have had to buy a universal remote because the Sony remote should adequately control the three Sony products in my system: TV, Blu-ray player, and sound bar. The Sony remote failed to work consistently. It was a disaster. Further, installation of this terribly expensive remote was difficult because of some quirkiness of my new upgraded Sony television that I just bought. It took several trips to my house to get it to work. Also, I think I was taken advantage of by Sony and Best Buy by having to get a fancy remote plus it’s so fancy that only Best Buy can program it initially and in the future. The future maintenance of the remote is going to be incredibly painful and inconvenient. While I really liked the in-home consultant and the installers, circumstances made me feel that I was ignored when I reported installation problems with my thousands of dollars of new devices from Best Buy. Circumstances included multiple illnesses, vacations and work schedules which delayed communication and action on the installation hiccups.

This unit reduces the need for other hand held devices, if you have multiple components in your media system. It takes a little getting use to like any new device but worth the purchase.

Without steam rolling anyone. Best Buy sold me a remote, looks great, holds a charge. Geek squad set up a time to do the setup. However nobody knows how to set up the remote. I’ve bought a $600.00 anchor. Still waiting for Kyle to call me up so they can come out, see what equipment to program, then bring the remote back, program it and then coordinate when they can come back out to make sure it works. That’s the quick version. Save your money, it may work great but if you want a working remote don’t buy this one.

This is a ridiculously too expensive technology to control your TV and sound system. It does work reasonably well; however, there are times when the sound cuts out and you have to restart the entire system to get it to work.

Universal remote control is extremely easy to use and opiates all of my equipment that is in a separate room outside of the tv. But note that is an expensive device, but one necessary for the proper operation of my equipment that is not in line of sight of a standard remote.

After purchasing a new Sony Big Screen TV. Made an appointment for the Geek Squad to deliver and set up my new TV. Found out when the Geek Squad came in to set up the TV, my Logitech Harmony Elite remote could not be programed for the new Sony TV. After a few choice words, This remote was recommended by the Geek Squad since Logitech no longer supports their Harmony Elite remotes.
Hey I thought to myself time to upgrade my entertainment systems' remote. MISTAKE!!
Waited another week for this Remote to come in.
Made another appointment to have this remote programed by the Geek Squad only to find out this time, this Remote would not support my Apple TV or my AT&T cable box. Geek Squad recommended I upgrade my Apple TV, which they just happen to have a new generation Apple TV unit in the truck. So I purchased it.
Low and behold the Apple TV unit worked, but did nothing for my cable box. Due to my stupidity I missed the Best Buy return by date. I plan to retire soon and plan to change my Cable provider anyway. I will give the Geek Squad another chance to make it all work. Believe when I say, I am in no way complaining about the Geek Squad, these guys are great they have knowledge I will never be able to comprehend. I do think it's unfortunate that they are limited to dealing with only products carried by Best Buy. At least that is my understanding. I prefer touchscreens remotes anyway.

The one problem with this Universal Remote Control does not have a help button to walk through correcting a problem like my previous Logitech Harmony. Other than that is a good remote.

The remote is very nice and has a lot of capabilities. The only down side is if you change or add equipment you have to pay for a geek squad member to reprogram it

In an era of electronics, you need a way to control their purpose. This remote keeps all other devices in line, and when it is time to rest, you just put it in a cradle to charge.
