Not worth the money

Sounded good, was easy to set up. Then is dies just after the first year. Maybe to some people a 100 dollars a year for wireless rear speakers is okay... but not for me. Would not recommend this item. Spend a little more for something more dependable.

This worked fine - speakers snapped right up - I kind of liked the volume - you can overcrank your rear speakers if that is what you are into... The big thing was that it all but wiped out anything wireless in my house.
It probably should say something about that on the box.
If you are using this product, and your wireless has seemed somewhat squirrelly ever since, try turning it off.
For that reason, I was left with the annoying task of turning the thing on and off when I was using the Internet. On my way to returning, and buying about 150' of speaker wire...

i bought this item on-line from best buy. it was so simple to hook-up and get a connection. i have been using it with my onkyo 605 receiver and orb audio mod-1 rear speakers in my surround sound system and it works great, with no appreciable loss of signal in a room that's approx. 20 ft by 20 ft.

I purchased this hoping to eliminate the need to rewire the speakers each time my wife moved the furniture:). Setup up was easy and the system connected with a push of the button. Went to do a speaker check and no sound. Double checked my wiring since my electronic skills are marginal at best. Nope, still no sound and my Yamaha HTR-5760 (receiver is about 7 y/o) said to check wiring.
I wired the same speakers directly to the receiver and viola! sound. Maybe my system doesn't work with this or it was faulty. This product has been given good reviews and I may have just gotten a lemon. Anyway, it is boxed back up and ready to be returned.

After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase this item and it works great! No pops yet and WiFi (G) works with no interference as some have complained about.
It saved me much time and trouble by completing my surround sound system after we removed carpeting and put in wood flooring! No climbing in the attic and no dropping cables down the walls!

We bought this because we were tired of looking at the rear speaker wires & were excited about the wireless option. super easy set up & worked good for about 6 months. Then it started cutting in & out and made popping noises that worried us about damaging our speakers. Didn't do it all the time so we waited. The receiver was only about 12 feet away & in direct vision so there really shouldn't have been any interference. There wasn't any other electrical equipment nearby either. Although sporadic, we had no idea what was causing the issues. Then, it went out completely. Wired the speakers directly & they worked fine. Reset the receiver several times = nothing. We waited till the weekend to trouble shoot & called the customer service line & discovered we were 3 DAYS past the one year warranty. Would they help? No. Would they discount a new system? No. Could they do ANYTHING? No. Our request for replacement/repair supposedly went to an "upper authority" for review & was given 7 business days for a response. 2 days later the response was, Sorry - can't help you. Didn't offer to fix or even a discount on a new system. So now we are $160.00 in the hole for an unusable product.

Setup was quick. Had a problem with the sound volume at first, but it was not Rocketfly. Have a Sony Bravia theater system and a trick was to turn the volume control on Rocketfly to half and then resync the surround sound using the calibration mic. Full sound now and it works great.

It's a good product but something you might not consider about a wireless home theater Rear Speaker Kit (RSK) is the watts and ohms for your speakers and it's limited. My speakers can with stand the watts and ohms but the RSK can't so i have to turn the volume down on the back of the RSK so that when I turn my amp real loud it avoids a popping sound. It's good with home theater package systems with 1,000 watts spread among the speakers but not so good when running from an actual receiver.

The product worked for about 2 weeks before it started losing connectivity between the sender and receiver. It had to be constantly reset. Eventually the two units would stop connecting altogether. The company does not stand by their product and only offers a 1 year guarantee. This product is not worth the price.

I bought this product about a month ago. I already had made my review but it didn’t get posted. I emailed Best Buy to see why my post never went up and they never got back to me. So I’m going to try to recreate my previous post.
I hooked it up the day it was purchased. I used the directions and the hookup went smoothly. I turned everything on for the first time and it all worked. After getting it to work I decided to test it out.
During testing I noticed several problems: There was a delay in the sound to the wireless speakers, there was a faint noise coming from the speakers at all times, and worst of all it interfered with my wireless internet. The delay was minor and maybe not noticeable to some people but I detected it and knew it was there and that’s enough to bug me every time I watch a movie. Rocketfish knew this when they made the product, stating in the manual that there could be a delay in milliseconds. They also said that most receivers have something to correct this. Mine was able to compensate for some of the delay but not all of it. I wish this were something Rocketfish could of fixed on their end. As for the noise that comes from the rear speakers at all times. That isn’t too bad, when the system is turned off the sound goes away and the sound they make while on isn’t very noticeable. My biggest concern was that it would interfere with my wireless internet. At first I didn’t notice it was, but after using it for about 10-15 min my internet started to lock up. And fixing it was as simple as turning off the power to the sender or the receiver. Instantly my internet was restored. I’m not saying these results will occur in every situation just in the setup I have. I live in an apartment and my router is not far from where my sender is. Another small thing that bugged me was the red lights on both the sender and the receiving end of the wireless system. The wireless receiver was the bigger problem because the sender was hidden behind my stereo receiver. The wireless receiver would stay lit while in use, and when the sender is turned off it sets the receiver into an every things ok blinking mode aka stand by mode. Most users end up covering the lights with electrical tape.
I think these reviews are helpful in the purchasing process and both the good and the bad should be listed. I can’t remember the details I put into the first post but this is here to give you an idea of what to check for if your thinking about buying this product. Again your setup might be different and you may not have any trouble with your wireless internet not working.

Junk: Springs for wire clips came off; now inside

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
In hooking up the wires from my home audio receiver to the RocketFish wireless units, 1 of the new units 4 spring-loaded clips slipped off the tiny spring, the spring fell inside the unit, now the clip won't hold the incoming wire rendering it useless.
Spring started to fall off another clip but I rescued it, but that was enough evidence of the inferior manufacturing. Returned and got my money back. Looking for a name-brand unit.
Made like a cheap piece of junk.

Wireless solution that actually works

I'm not using this for rear surround speakers, i'm using it to monitor whats on tv while i'm in my kitchen. For my application, its a thing of beauty. It's neither powerful nor great sounding, but the setup took 10 minutes from opening the box to adjusting the volume. It's about 60 ft away and the signal goes thru a wall. I had my doubts that something so affordable would work so well, but it really does what it says. There is not an automatic shut-off, but i doubt the tiny amplifier unit is much of a current hog.

I have had this for over a month and works greatly for my home theater speakers. I haven't heard any popping or have interference like other reviewers. So far so good
