    Not that great

Tried to put two of them in my attic for four wireless speakers (two on each). They wouldn't sync up. Had to use one and run two wires into each channel. It still makes lots of popping noises. This was done by a professional installer and he says this is the best he could do with them. Really not worth the money.

    Disappointed

I have had this for less than a month now and the wirless box that plugs into the receiver is dead. Additionally, I have experienced the popping sound that others have mentioned. Unfortunately, there are not any other options out there for wireless speakers. I will swap for a new one and see how long that one lasts. If that dies, then I may have someone come to install the rear speaker wires under the carpet. I wish there were a better product on the market for this purpose.

    Not what expected

The unit has only one receiver to both back speakers so you still have to run wires from that receiver to the back speakers, so if you have hardwood floors like me and have a significant distance between your rear speakers you will still have wires showing unless you have something between them to hide the wires

    Good Idea But...

If you have a system needing wireless speakers that put out less than 25 watts per channel from the receiver, this is the system for you. Unfortunately, if you have a high end receiver these are not going to work. I hooked up this unit to my Denon receiver, and the Wireless Unit shut down every time it got a signal from the receiver. It just overpowered it. If you have a $200 theater in a box, this is the system for you, if you have something more powerful, try the LG wireless back speaker system, it handles up to 100 watts per channel. Its not great sounding (wireless never is) but it does the trick without having trip wires in your room, or holes in your floors.

    Don't Waste Your Money

As the review summary says, don't waste your money on this product. This is a great idea in theory, but it fails to perform. Your speakers will pop or crack similar to the sound of a blown speaker. Don't worry though since it isn't your speakers that are the problem. As many others have stated this is a common issue, one I have as well with this product. The cracking/popping will occur regardless of how you connect the speakers. I've tried everything short of returning the product. Swapping speaker wire, removing possible powered items away from the unit/speakers, removing electronics from near unit/speakers, adjusting the volume on the unit and NOTHING has stopped the popping/cracking. This was a great idea as an alternative to running wire under carpet and/or behind walls. But the product simply does not perform. If you can deal with the popping/cracking then by all means purchase this item. But be warned if you use it in a 5.1 surround setting you are going to have popping/cracking.

    Third time NOT a charm

Third one in less than a year is going back for a refund. The SLIGHTEST static charge (I was dusting) fries the receiver unit. You can even smell it! Sad thing is, the unit was turned off while dusting and when turned back on..POOF!

    Lasted 15 seconds

The one I purchased lasted 15 seconds, as soon as I plugged it in, it popped and went dead. Spend 30 minutes to set it up and didn't even get one sound out of the rear speakers. I will exchange it and try again.

    not perfect

Works alright to hide cords in an apartment, not a perfect solution especially if you have higher quality equipment to go along with it. Tends to crackle every once in a while.

    Good for the right situation

I would not use this for surround speakers unless there is NO other way of wiring the speakers because the sound quality is limited with the small amp inside. This DOES work nice for getting sound to an extra room where it won't be turned up TOO loud.

For the price no so much

For the price is to much. It has a annoying and frequent noise, like a POP!!, even when the receiver is off. For the price it should have some kind of cable protection or something.

    Too many problems

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

OK, so if you want to go wireless with your rear speakers these are ok to use but there are some problems. If you have a lot of wireless products, interference is an issue. Plus you cannot leave this on all the time or else you get a lot of excess noise coming thru your rear speakers and the occassional popping noise. For the money they are a good starting point, but if your good at hiding wires then your better off without it.

    Key Flaw

There is one major design flaw in these that will make them troublesome for most people. These devices operate in the 2.4GHz range. For those not in the know, this means that you are going to experience interference from Wi-Fi signals (if using 802.11b/g/n), microwaves, some wireless phones, and more. This could result in popping in your speakers since the signal is being affected. Honestly, they should have chosen a section of the spectrum that has far less intrusion.

    Interference with wireless internet signal

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Needed these to complete my home theater system, specifically the rear speakers. Seemed like the perfect solution and they work great. Just one problem, they interfere with my AT&T Uverse wireless signal. Now I'm looking at ways to run hard wire to my rear speakers. Guess I'll contact AT&T to see if moving my Uverse box to another location would help but I don't see that working. If anyone has a different solution, let me know.

I purchased two sets of these for rear and side surround sound. Almost immediately there would be random "snapping" sounds coming out of the surround speakers. Tech support said it was probably my speakers (doubtful as they are $300 a piece mirage surrounds). So i purchased new wires and exchanged both units. Still have the same problem as before. Maybe they work better if you only have 1 set, but not worth destroying $1200 in speakers over, they are going back.

Receiver Died Within Minutes of Use

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was hesitant to buy this unit after having read so many negative reviews. But, I thought, I could always return it if it didn't work. Well, I'm returning it. Set up was a breeze--took about 10 minutes. The sending and receiving units look good and seem to be well built. My primary concern was that I have a Netgear 802.11n wireless network in my home, and I knew interference could be a problem. It wasn't. Just a thought: those experiencing interference might want to change the broadcast channel on their wireless router. I was happy to find that the system worked well (at first). I did have to reduce the time delay to the rear speakers by all of 2 ms, as there is a tiny added time delay in getting signals to the rear speakers. I also found the digital amp introduced a small but perceptible amount of noise to the rear channel, but I could live with that. And now the bad news. Within minutes of use, the amp started to spontaneously shut down. There wasn't an obvious short, like touching speaker wires. Perhaps a breaker was tripping, but why, I don't know. If I hit the power button, the amp (a.k.a. the receiver) would come back on, but within minutes it would shut down again. This got old fast and is simply unacceptable. I'll find another way to wire up my rear speakers.

Do not use if you have wireless in the same room

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I tried to hook up the system and never got any sound from the rear speakers. I tried each troubleshooting step and even moved the sender and receiver in a direct line of sight within 6 ft. Never got any sound from the speakers. I tried to turn off wireless with same results. I thought the device might be faulty and exchanged for another, but got the same results. I spoke with customer service and they explained to me that the kit cannot be used in the same room as a separate wireless device (even though the manual states it will work as long as the devices are 18" apart). If your home set up has the wireless router or phone in the same room where you hope to use this, THE PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK. Good idea, poor design.

Worked for about 2 years. Sound is poor in rear, just gives a low echo. At times it loses connection. One day, came home, light was flashing and it never connected again. Looking to replace. I spent $100+tax on the item. I dont think a year and 11 months is a good return with poor sound quality.
