    Works Great on multiple floors

This works great using the Pioneer receiver in the basement and Dynex speakers on the first floor. Sound quality is great, haven't lost the range or quality, even when I've moved them up to the 2nd floor and the outdoor patio. Setup took a little while in figuring out which speaker connections to use, because I have a 7.1 setup in the basement home theater, but after figuring that out, works great, particularly with the Pioneer airplay feature

    Works Great, Troubleshooting Tips

I received this as a Christmas gift, couldn't get it to work, took it back, exchanged it, couldn't get the 2nd one to work, started researching... the fix was simple. I'm a guy and didn't evidently *need* the directions (hint, yeah, I did). I would have THOUGHT as many complaints as there are online that the tech people in Canada would have asked before I went to all the trouble, but they probably assume we would RTFD. ;) The two boxes aren't labeled "sender" or "receiver" and there is only one page in the manual (package contents) that tells you which one is which. So, of course, I put the bigger unit with my receiver since the signal processor and sending unit SHOULD be bigger, right? WRONG! The larger unit is the RECEIVER, and is BIGGER because it's amplifying the signal up to 25 watts for your surround speakers. The smaller unit is the sender and hooks into your AV rack. 2nd problem: buzzing sound when you turn your AV unit off. The electrical plugs in your room are on the same breaker and it's feeding back on itself. 2 solutions: pick a different outlet or go online and Google "rocketfish humming fix resistors". 2 Radio Shack resistors are hooked in series to the wires coming out of your A/V rack, takes about 30 minutes and costs about $5 bucks. Rocketfish will also, on request, send you two such wires FREE if you ask them nicely. (note, they may stop doing this for cost reasons if demand gets too high). 25 watts is PLENTY of power unless you have a basement surround sound need with speakers more than 5 feet or so from the sitting area. Turn the silver dial on the receiver unit ALL THE WAY UP first, BEFORE adjusting your A/V rack surround output level. Clear and loud sound from my JVC receiver and JBL surround speakers. Was considering running these through my powered subwoofer that has a built-in amplifier and left/right output but since the input signal would be amplified to 25 watts, will probably hold off. Good luck, and enjoy!

I was reluctant when I purchased this unit due to some of the reviews. However, the unit works great and was simple to install. I know longevity has been a concern. I will re-post if that becomes an issue. So far it has been an awesome solution to having ugly wires running to back speakers.

    Better than previous model!

Bought this and absolutely love it! Had the previous model for years but had intermittent issues with it before it died. I would highly recommend this for an easy option to have wireless speakers. I will say that it priced more than what I think it is worth but still highly recommend it.

    Works Flawlessly

I am very pleased with this unit after using it for two weeks. It worked exactly as advertised and seems to be working flawlessly. I'm using it with my rear surround speakers in my 5.1 surround setup. My living room is on the small side and I would estimate that my TV and front speakers are about 15 feet from my rear speakers. I have no Wi-Fi or portable phone interference whatsoever but the nearest Wi-Fi router is about 40 feet away and these units are only separated by about 15 feet. I had no problem balancing the surround sound on my Yamaha high-powered receiver after setting the volume control on this device's amplifier to full. I then used my amplifier's surround settings volume controls to balance everything out. The only minor drawback to this unit is the relatively low power output (30 watts RMS per channel) when my Yamaha receiver puts out 200 watts RMS per channel. I was still able to balance the sound though and so far, I have not heard any clipping or distortion coming from the rear speakers at the volume levels that I listen to movies at. Overall, this is a no-brainer purchase at this price for anyone that needs a wireless rear amplifier to listen to movies or music at moderate (normal) levels of volume. If you have a very large room, a theater, or like to listen at levels that will cause temporary hearing loss, divorce proceedings, or police calls by neighbors, then you may want to spend more money and get a higher powered model or just drill holes in your floors and hard-wire your speakers.

Best in Class! Works great and no more wires!!!

If you are looking for a way to set up your 7.1 speaker system without having to run speaker wires to the back of your couch, then this little gadget is for you. It uses wireless technology to beam the information for sound to the receiver which can then be wired to the rear speakers. I used two of them to get the sound for the rear speakers and the rear surround speakers for my Onkyo HTIB. I used a THX optimizer to fine tune the sound of each speaker and now all we can say is WOW! This is a great product and a must for anyone who wants to avoid pricey alternatives like custom installation. Oh and by the way, the sound is GREAT from the rear speakers!!!

I've been searching for something like this for a while. Definitely worth its price. Easy installation. Versatile setup with front speakers as well. I was playing around and configured the front speakers to work off of it and the sound quality was great too. The sound gain of the receiver is a great feature to set up the surround levels without changing your system settings. As long as the units are paired on different wireless codes I am willing to get another unit and install it in my other home theater room.

I used this wireless kit to hook up two yamaha outdoor speakers in my pool area which is connected to my living area. Worked wonderful after i figured out I needed an almost straight clear signal, so I set the receiving unit and sending unit up on a higher level to transmit clearer. Worked perfect expect the mirrored glass on my sliding doors kinda reflected signal SOMETIMES. Not always. Worked great unless there was a lot of movement through door signaling through. STILL EXCELLENT PRODUCT! Perfect for surround sound systems. NEGATIVES: -Standing in front of unit canceled out signal (Obviously since your blocking signal) -RF can't transmit very well. -Units have to be aligned almost perfect. (Like my automatic garage door. Which won't shut up because I can't get the floor transmitters aligned perfect BEEP...BEEP...BEEP! LOL!!! POSITIVES: -Sound quality is amazing! 10/10. Only cut out when I emitted too much power to the receiving unit. Seeing as my receiver can push more power than the receiving unit. -GREAT price! -Worked better than I expected through glass surfaces especially mirrored surfaces! PLUS: - LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FUTURE IN WIRELESS SPEAKERS.

    Just what I wanted

My sound system is in the den and I wanted speakers in the kitchen, but there was no way to run wires. Fretted about this for years and considered various wireless products but none were what I was looking for. When my son in law told me about the Rocketfish system, I went to my nearby Bestbuy store and bought it. Installation was easy, and it works like a charm! I am so so pleased with this system. Yes it is marketed as a rear speaker system, but I hooked it up as an extension set for another room, and it is just perfect.

Hooked this up to some speakers I installed in the kitchen ceiling because I did not want to run wires all the way back to my entertainment center. They sound great. Easy to setup.

This product is fantastic! Easy to set up, and the sound is great with no delays or static. Hooked it up to a Bose System 5 - (I connected the sending unit to the bass module). The cube speakers work very well with the system. Turn on either the receiver or sender and then the other, and both recognize the other without any further action. Best product for the money to get rid of the wires. The ONLY downfall is that you have to manually turn on/off the units, i.e. no remote control. No big deal, but it would be nice. Just keep in mind that you will still need to run speaker wires from the receiver to the speakers.

I was a little skeptical about the quality after hooking this up but figured I would give it a try before I even attempted to run wiring that wouldn't be visible. Works great! Sound quality it still top notch.

I am very happy with this kit. I was looking for a way to make my Bose Lifestyle V25 have wireless rear speakers. I looked into a bose product, only to find it had been discontinued. After calling Bose, they recommend this kit. It works great and was fairly easy to set up. Just spliced a few wires and plugged everything in. Many people say you lose quality when using wireless systems. I did not notice any decreases in sound quality. The speakers sound just as good as when they were plugged in.

I got the device hooked up without a hitch. It works and sounds fine. I turned the volume all the way up on the RocketFish's rear unit and I control the volume from my reciever. Because the unit is wireless, I had to adjust the rear speaker delay to get a sound I was pleased with. The instructions for that is in the manual that comes with the unit. I tried it out the box and could not hear my rear speakers well. So I used my reciever's speaker auto setup and mic, that came with it, and adjusted the rear speaker delay. that made all the difference in the sound. I plugged the front unit's power cord into a switched power outlet on my reciever so the rocketfish unit powers off with my reciever. But I have to turn the rear unit off manually.

I purchased this wireless set-up for my apt. about 2 months ago. I love it. It works very well about 98% of the time. Occasionally there will be a 'pop' in the speakers, usually if you have a wireless laptop around. I have mine positioned about 10ft away from the transmitter under my couch. There is a slight hissing noise if the wireless reciever volume is turned up high and what you are watching doesn't have much surround sound. Overall, I highly recommend this set up especially if you don't want wires running across your living room.

    Great solution for hiding wires

I have a condo where it is next to impossible to run speaker wires through the walls. It is a great solution to conceal the wires and keep the house from looking "tacky." I hooked up the wireless speaker kit with my Yamaha receiver and Polk Audio surround sound speakers. It sounds crystal clear as if it were hooked directly to the receiver. I bought this item on sale for $89.99 (reg. $109.99). It is a little pricey for what it is so make sure you buy it when it is on sale. It is truly unique and a great solution for any home theater set up!

Added this to my surround sound to eliminate wires around the room. Easy to install and use. Probably buy another for the stereo system to send to speakers upstairs. Only wish is that they auto-powered on/off by sensing speaker sending activity/voltage. But what to you expect for $100?

Was very simple to set up. Liked the fact that it had volume controls on the receiver. The sound is good coming from the speakers its connected to. I'd recommend this product to people who don't like cluttered wires.
