This is a replacement remote for a wide range of keyless entry, alarm or remote starters made by Directed Electronics, including Viper, Avital, Python, Sidewinder, Hornet and Valet. It does not replace your vehicle's factory remote. If the antenna on your windshield says "HX" or "HX Plus", or if it's a small square box with a thin antenna extending out of it, there's a good chance this will work with your system. If you're replacing a 2-way remote, or if your antenna has a LED light and/or pushbutton built into it, this remote most likely will NOT work. Let Geek Squad look at your car if you're not sure. It's not as cool looking as some of the original remotes it replaces, but it works just as well and costs less so it's a good value.

I was so happy to find this replacement for my car. Its not fancy, but its affordable, compatible, and easy to use. Perfect for use as a back up, or if you simply need something that works.

Love this because I can start my vehicle on cold days and it is nice and warm and ready to go when I leave. It remains locked until I go out there and get into the vehicle!!!

My husband purchased this clicker after washing his original one. Best Buy setup this clicker to work with his remote start and it works GREAT and also opens his doors. He loves it!!

Best buy installed our vipor 10 years ago, Out remote was showing it's age. They had another in stock and took the time to program it and review with us how to use. Best buy techs are the best. Part wasn't expensive.

I went to best buy wanting a remote to replace my failing one. Battery wasn't the problem. It is for my Jeeps viper auto alarm. My other remotes had just worn out. The best buy tech got me just what i needed. He even programmed it for me. I now have a reliable alarm again. I couldn't been more satisfied with the outcome. A great price, excellent service. I recommend the remote.

I was replacing a viper remote that I washed in the washing machine on accident, I went to Best Buy and they told me about this remote, got me right in and programmed it for my car. This remote dose everything my other one did, and the guys that work in the install area are top notch, they do a excellent job.

My remote works really good. There was no one avallible to program it. So re programed it ourself, because we couldn't get anyone to help us. It works great. We would do it again.

The directions aren't the best but if you are patient and have a Valet car starter, it will probably work for you.
