I have had plenty of verizon lower in phones, LG trio, Samsung j1, j3, moto 4. Some specs are wrong. Face it like a computer which these are! Look at hard drive 1st. Ok say computer says 1tb. Or phone 16gb. That's the whole hard drive before the os or operating system. Windows 10 say. 40 gb out of your 1tb or Moore. Phone depends on vendor and Google also your apps. 16 usually turns to 9 gb. Get a memory card 128 gb around Thanksgiving they'll be as cheap as 64gb ones now! Disable Uninstalled or force stop say Google book app or tv if you want and don't use in settings. In play store choose notify me don't auto download. And honestly get off candy crush and Facebook! Use Google Chrome for Facebook your eating your hard drive up! Get avast. And top thing clear Google history, close all your programs and tabs in Chrome. Also like a computer restart the phone atleast once a week! These phones are fine. You my be a os behind and not have all the bells and whistles. But I'm not paying $900 for a phone Hand held computer!

Bought this as a backup phone. Runs great, pretty stock android, nice screen and very responsive. Also like the new screen size in a smaller body. Definitely would recommend!

    Buyer Beware

Although the Best Buy website and the sign on the display in the local Best Buy store both indicate that this phone has 32GB of internal memory, it in fact has only 16GB - something I didn't discover until after I activated the phone. Motorola makes this phone in both 16GB and 32GB, but there is no information on the packaging to indicate which phone is inside the box. The phone sold at Best Buy (UPC code: 723755019096) is the 16GB model (not the 32GB). My local Best Buy store was not particularly helpful in solving the problem. They offered a refund on the phone, but that still doesn't address the money I have paid Verizon for the first month's service. It is a nice average phone, but it does not have the memory capability listed in the description.

I purchased a Verizon prepaid Moto g6 a few weeks ago. I was very happy that I was finally getting a current smartphone at a reasonable price. I had had a LG smartphone with a Net10 prepaid plan for several years. The LG Net10 phone was my first smartphone and it was very basic and slow. It was a good little phone, but I wanted to upgrade. I have enjoyed my new g6 very much. However today we had some bad weather, including a tornado warning and strong winds. A tree fell and knocked out my electric power leaving me with no wi-fi. With my LG smartphone, when I lost power at home the LG mobile phone data took over automatically. I never lost access to the internet. Today I had NO access to the internet. When I first tried to open one of the weather apps, it would not even open. I found that I had to turn off wi-fi on the phone to turn on the phone’s mobile data. After following this process, the weather apps opened, but there was no data. I had a weather map with no radar data. This could have been very dangerous with the bad weather we were having. Today I found out the hard way that the Moto g6 is not for using without wi-fi. THE PHONE SHOULD COME WITH A WARNING. If I had known this, I NEVER would have purchased this phone

Any cell phone with 16gb of memory should be avoided. The system takes about 8gb (and more, with each update). Each app you install eats up your system memory, so after a few months, you start getting limit warnings. With 32gb, you are OK for years, long enough before you need a new phone. And NO, you CANNOT move apps to an SD card, because you are prevented by newer Android and by the cell phone system. And, even if you could, the app still occupies some system memory.

    FRAGILE SCREEN

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought two of these phones at the same time, should have known it was too good to be true. Both screens cracked within a week of each other. No drops, no pocket impact that either of us are aware of. Motorola's answer is they will fix for $100-$150 plus shipping both ways....for a $130 phone! If I would have dropped it I would not have bothered them, My original review was a 4 now, after 10 weeks I would avoid the phone. I think the screen has a design flaw but it also dropped calls repeatedly, and the call quality much of the time was sub-par. Went with MOTO (Lenovo) because they were always "tanks", obviously the accountants have infiltrated the engineering department. And yes I do know it was a $130.00 phone!
