For the price I was expecting more options for video codecs to output to, but it does the job and fairly easily.

A useful item if you want to keep your memories. The old guys like me, really appreciate a tool like this!

Easy to install, it was a quick "up and running" program.

Instructions are not clear that the video is stored on the device, and then has to be downloaded onto the disc.

I am converting old home movies and this works famously.

Overall the product is nice. Videos transferred to my PC easily with the provided software. One thing that I notice is that right before I'm at the point of recording there is a tapping noise. I was worried that this was being transferred over, but luckily no. One really frustrating thing is that there are moments when the video gets a little jerky. There is a button to press in the program if this happens, but it doesn't always help. I have had to re-record videos about 5-6 times at places before it took. This is the most frustrating part about this product.

Converting VHS home movies, etc. (not copyrighted materials), some operating systems may be finicky with the corresponding computer and the conversions. Overall, it was more important to convert the old home movies as part of the family history efforts. Enjoy.

The turntable produces excellent results and does not abuse the records by wearing down the cruves.

The connector worked great we were able to put our old movies onto our computer but had a problem getting the software to work as far as getting clips from each movie.

I have two VHS tapes that I've been trying to convert on my own into a mp4 or mov file for editing, which is why I purchased this software. Unfortunately, it could not recognize the VHS player to capture the footage. Since my VHS player only has RCA inputs and outputs, I had no other way to get the software to try and sync with the machine. However, it did recognize the smaller VHS-C tapes played through a camcorder. Not sure why? Sadly, I need this to work through a standard VHS player. Bummer..

Bought this as a gift for my husband who makes home movies as a hobby. He loved it. He said it was easy to use and helpful for the old equipment to convert videos.

Worked great!!! Would recommend this to anyone trying to transfer their vhs to dvd's!!

This program does great at converting videos from VHS tapes, editing them, and building a menu with my photos for background images, but in the final step of burning the DVD, it gets to 99% and stops short. Honestech/Vidbox technical support was unable to resolve the problem. I tried it on two different computers that met the system requirements, but no joy. I returned it to Honestech for a refund (they will not refund the amount I paid for sales tax, I should have returned it to Best Buy for that.). I have now purchased the Diamond Multimedia product and am hoping for success with it.

This was easy to set up. I was able to transfer my home Vcr tape movies to dvd.

Worked great for what I needed it for. Able to save all our old family memories.

this product works great on windows 10, easy to install and transfer HomeMovies from my 8mm camcorder tapes, I have an older camcorder that does not have a USB port so this is exactly what I needed in order to transfer, burn and upload old video

This product was really easy to use. I transfer all my old videos to my computer . I just think the price is to expensive.
