I bought this and the Ion that was half the price of this. For the Mac, the Ion was much better than this one and way cheaper.

I transferred a bunch of 30 year old VHS tapes with my laptop and it worked great. Just plug it in and go

Did great and just as described. Easy set up and easier functionality. The only bad thing is the recording had some sync variances between the video and audio. This wasn't the source, but may have been the computer configuration. It being a USB device I think has something to do with the issue.

This product was a complete disappointment. While pictures were converted to my I-Mac, the sound did not; the sound was garbled and distorted. I took the product to a Geek Squad member who pointed out to me that the fitting for the USB connection port was damaged, and I had just taken the product right out of the box. Since the time for returning the product had expired, I lost the money I spent on this product and took it to a recycling center. Bummer.

Bought as a gift for mothers day and it was an absolute hit!

Although I am a verified buyer of this item, I never opened it up an actually used this product. I saw some negative reviews online and decided to not take a chance on it and returned it to the store.

Tried with support groups and could not get to work with Mojave 14.10. Was sent older version capture device and could only get it to copy with flickering. Worked on my 5 year old Toshiba pc and copied to my Mac

My main complaint is that the software stops often

When I first read about this video transfer suite, I was excited. It transferred the video, but the quality was extremely poor, and every few seconds a loud glitching sound was heard. I don't know if my laptop was not compatible with this product, but it passed all the requirements. I had to return this product and ran into some trouble, I guess when you purchase a product that has software it is not returnable??? Thankfully the manager at Best Buy gave me the benefit of the doubt, otherwise I would be out $80.00. My advice, double check...

We have been unable so far to load the software required to convert our VHS tapes to DVD. We are working with VIDBOX out of Austin to try and resolve the problem

Junk. Didn’t work with my laptop or video camera and no support to help figure out why.

Good product to transfer VHS videos to digital format. Works on Windows 11

If I could give this zero stars I would. The interface is clunky, but that is the best thing about it. The program sometimes records the whole video, but other times records just portions. It is frustrating letting it run for hours to find out it only saved 30 minutes. Not worth the money.

This product's Macintosh drivers are not digitally signed. You will have to override your Mac's security settings to use it. Consider purchasing the Elgato video capture device instead. Elgato has signed drivers and works perfectly on my MBP. Unfortunately, BestBuy does not sell the Elgato product at this time.

Difficult to attach the conversion hardware. Still haven’t converted the old 8mm tapes to our MacBook Pro

I’ve tried using several different cords, different camcorders, laptops, I tried all I could to make sure it wasn’t me that couldn’t get this device/software to work….but it must just be too old, idk. I wanted to return it, but because it’s software that’s not possible.

The DVD quality output is not what I expected. Could be better.

If I could give zero stars...This never worked. I kept receiving error messages. Loaded everything "successfully". Waste of friends and family time trying. You'll need a wish and a prayer. This was returned.

Well, so far I cannot get it to work with my computer. I realize it may be my settings on my computer but this has been impossible to use up to this point. Worthless as is.

It doesn’t work. Video sometimes went through. sound was horrible. A lot buzzing & clicking. Unusable.
