Beware of possible future issues

Purchased remote start on my suv and it caused my vehicle’s computer system to stop communicating. I didn’t know what was wrong, took it to a car mechanic who specializes in electrical issues and $823 later I found out they had to pull it out for my car to vehicle to start back working properly. Tried to go to Best Buy to rectify and still no help or resolution.

My auto start pretty much works when it wants I walk outside in freezing weather to find my car not on after I have 2 keys programmed. Only works when next to car. Says I have quarter mile range and it don’t even work when I’m down the street.

Have sporadic issues where the vehicle will not start. Will also randomly lock doors when it shouldn't. Would not recommend. Spend a little extra for better options.

Doesn’t start

Best Buy couldn’t even install it until after the return period was over. Also my trunk has an auto close button and since install if I use the button, it closes but doesn’t latch. So my car now has LESS functionality than before I did this “upgrade”.

Bluetooth range through the app is limited and decreases through walls as bluetooth would. Standard fob works fine.

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought an alarm system for my car, had it installed after the guy took a WHOLE shift to get it completed; not know what he was doing. 6 months down the line my car starts to have electrical failures, 2000 bucks later, a week without a car, dealership stating evidence of improper installation of alarm system.. best buy is denying any liability. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
