can only get a 2yr warranty. System worked great for 2 yr 4 months. Now when I lock it, the horn honks which is normal and then the alarm beeps which is not normal. The driver door is not locking either and the sound sensor is not going off when you let the door handle snap back in. This is an alarm that would go off in a heavy down poor so I know something is not right.

Not what you expect. App only works if you are basically standing at the car. Remote has very little range as well. You can pay a monthly fee for more features, but you also have to pay an extra 100+ dollars for additional parts. Best Buy installation was awful as well. Broke my arm rest on my door, and when they put the dash back together they covered my hood release. Go elsewhere with a different starter

Bought for a gift took 2 hrs to make an appointment for a month in advance my 70+ year old mother in law showed up the day of appointment that she drove an hour for and they said that they canceled it(they lied) I checked the app while in store and the appointment was still scheduled she even showed the manager chuck his reply was it wasn’t his problem

This item is trash. App is junk. Takes 1 minute for the unlock function to work. Spend extra and get the Compustar.

This product is horrible. No one can figure out of the install is wrong or the product just sucks. So far it wont turn on when its suppose to, it locked the car for 20 minutes and no one could get in our out, and it locked the ignition so on one could get in our out.

Bought it as a gift for my daughter. This is a messed up worthless device. Worked just until warranty expired. Now whenever she uses it to start the car, it sets off the alarm. She lives in an apartment complex and her neighbors aren't too thrilled with this glitch.

Not compatible with the intended car, didn’t get to use.

Not installed yet. Best buy keeps moving the installed date.

Car not start regularly with auto remote, after replacing battery. Need to bring back for a reset..why?

After purchasing this, the Best Buy installer recommended returning it and purchasing a Compustar model. He explained that several of the Vipers had not performed very well and he had never had an issue with the Compustar. I had him install a two way communication model and I'm very happy with it.

It is exactly what the title states. However, I am not impressed. The only plus side is being able to control from phone.. but what good is that if you have to literally be next to the car to lock or unlock. I had a Viper remote start in previous vehicle and it was amazing. The range was good. Never had any issues. With this particular model, the range is not good at all. I have to be quite close to the car to start it.. not very convenient for the cold mornings. Also, I’m not sure if it’s a wiring or device issue.. but the bright blue flashing sensor light has been malfunctioning. This can most certainly cause unwanted attention from police officers, as blue lights of any kind are illegal in WA state. Make sure to do any and all research before you purchase. I wouldn’t buy this product again. One last thing, the remote on this product looks and feels very cheap, and I guess these days the decent remote costs a couple hundred bucks. You can add features later on, but I find that to just be another way to get more money compared to old products where you could just pay your $400-600 and get everything all at one time. Another way to just keep taking money from customer in my opinion.

One of the most anticipated gifts I’ve ever received for it to stop working two months after instillation! Unfortunately for the price I will not be replacing it!

It does not work at a distance. I press remote lights blink on the remote and i think car started. Get outside and it’s not running. I specifically asked online before purchasing if the remote showed The car was running and was told yes. There isn’t a way to know. Disappointed. Also they provided me no information to use the app on my phone.

It's kind of hard to review an item when you're still waiting for it to be installed. I picked up this Viper remote car starter Nov. 29, 2020. The earliest I could schedule it for installation by Best Buy was Mar. 6, 2021 (over 3 months). Most of Winter will be OVER by then.

Perfect for my car. I love the fact that I can start my vehicle with my phone by downloading an app.
