The button is very hard. I got this for my daughter’s car but she can’t started it yet. I have to start it for her and I know it not easy. Another sad thing is after I installed it 2 weeks ;price was dropped $60

Love it! But sometimes we have to go to a window to get it to reach the truck it seems.

It says on the box 1/2 reach and is not even close , I did some testing with the '"remote fob” and the farther it goes is maybe a 1/2 a block and not to mention the Bluetooth App you have to be next to the car for that to work. so a little misleading on Vipers part ... price should be less than $199 . I’ll say $129 instead. Other than that it does the job I won’t freeze to death this winter ... Allentown, PA

The packaging is misleading. This unit does not come with Smart Start, nor is the bluetooth option viable. The bluetooth connection is mostly used by technicians for updating and troubleshooting. The remote that comes inside the package is very poor quality. It will likely wear out in the first year of use if it makes it that far. It's also not very reliable, just ask the installers. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Compustar remote starter instead.

Would not buy again bad experience from the get go. Customer service is not that good

I had this installed in my 2011 Odyssey on 21st Nov 2016. Worked that day, was very excited about it. Next day after work I tried to start my van with the remote it didn't work, even at close range. The car lights flash but won't start the car. Thought it was my car battery since it had started showing low battery. Changed my car battery but then even the flashing stopped since it was reset. I called bestbuy to set up an appointment and was told I have to wait 4 weeks to be seen eventhough it only worked for a day. Then I called their corporate office and they told me to take the van to best buy without an appoinment. The mechanic is super helpful and nice, who reset the whole setup and it started working agian. That night, I had to park in my driveway but was not worried since it was fixed. Next morning tried to start the van from my door, the lights flashed and I thought it was all set. Got to the van after 10 minutes to see that it never started. Tried using the remote again and the van just flashes its lights never starts. Now best buy needs another 4-5 weeks before they could see my car. I MIGHT BE ABLE TO USE THIS 4 -5 TIMES THIS WINTER,IF THE SAME PATTERN CONTINUES WHICH IS NOT WHAT I WAS HOPPING FOR. BESTBUY SHOULD ATLEAST MAKE SURE THAT CUSTOMERS CAN USE THIS SERVICE AT LEAST ONE WINTER WITOUT ISSUES.

Bestbuy technician tried to install this for 4 hours and couldnt make it to work . So i left my vehicle that day and took taxi home. Next day also technician couldnt make it to work . I have 2015 oddysse touring elite. This particular remote starter didnt work. The alarm is getting activated when engine was started. Finally rolled back everything and returned the remote starter.

This is the second time I’ve ordered something and it’s been delivered the same day. That’s highly impressive!

Product worked fine but it cuts off once you open the door. Ever since I got this installed I have been having problems with my alternator. Bought a new one for $500 and it still won’t work and this issue did not occur before installation. I called and they scheduled me to fix it but it was 2 weeks from now. Now my car will not start at all and I don’t know how I’m going to get it to my appointment. I can’t even drive it to work.

This unit is terrible! The advertised on-board bluetooth is only good from 25 feet if/when it works at all. Make sure that you read the fine print, this unit also requires the purchase of either a vehicle specific t-harness or a universal wiring harness for installation. The remote that comes in the box is terrible, it is hard to press for remote start and getting it to work for unlock and lock functions (where available) is nearly impossible. While it is cheap, it is a prime example of you get what you pay for. I would spend the extra money and get a compustar which has a proven track record of reliability and ease of use.

For over a year now, Ive wanted a remote start especially living in Queens, NY. Living in an apt without parking right in front, a remote start is definetly needed especially in the winter time. On the box, it is promoter unlimited range with the app but come to find out, you need a separate module that is an additional $200 to purchase & install. Decided to move forward but unfortunetly the signal has not been “good” from my apt so I still could not start my car from my apt. After unsatisfactory, Best Buy was great to recommend another item that may have better signal. I am returning this.

We have had this installed in my wife's car for two years now. The battery corroded amd completely fried the FOB. Cannot find a replacement FOB and the only recommendation we were given is to buy the entire system again. I would suggest finding a different remote start system that is more user friendly.

I own a 2017 Nissan. When i first bought the remote start it worked wonderfully until the company did an update. I bought a new smart start device, it hasn't worked. I have taken it back to Best Buy on numerous occasions. When i called Viper to address issues they did not help, since Best Buy didn't call them to troubleshoot. This has been a very frustrating experience and a waste of money.

You can not control the heat in your car from your phone so be prepared to have your car set on the right settings before you have to start your car. It tells you it's a certain amount of feet for it to work, but you literally have to be in front of the car in order for it to start. It was a pointless amount of money spent for something I could have just done myself with my extra spare key. Plus the functions on my regular car key no longer works when I press it 3 times so that is useless. I wish I would have saved my money!
