Purchased this for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. My husband and I love being able to start our diesel truck and let it warm up and defrost while remaining locked in the winter. Has a basic key fob to start, however you can also use the Viper App. Installation at Best Buy was easy. Took a bit longer than they anticipated, but took advantage of doing some Christmas shopping to pass the time.

Great product Viper has really stepped it up good remote start for the price versus the competition good features not as many as the other brands of remote start brands but overall pretty good does the job you can upgrade for a fee on the side of the box has different upgrades available.

the viper product works as it should with no complications , however the geek squad is not honest at all Dustan installed and not very well and in the install he broke the dimmer switch and when i confronted him with the problem he would not man up and admit so in return me friend wanted one and i advised him to go elsewhere,accidents happen but if you can't man up it makes everybody look dishonest.

So nice to be able to start the car and let it cool down in the summer. Way cheaper then having the dealer put a factory one in.

Great to have auto start on my manual transmission Toyota Tacoma. Easy operation and works great.

Great product that performs superbly. Quick install by Best Buy technician. Setup and functions were explained by technician in a way that was easy to understand. Highly recommended!!

It works great the works did a great job installing it

I really like this product the remote start button is kind of hard to get used to but once you do it’s a jewel. I love the fact that I can start my car and the doors will lock while the car is warming up because it’s a push button start it wouldn’t lock until I got this system. Now I don’t have to worry about getting out in the cold to start my car. And it’s always cozy when I get in it❤️❤️❤️

So happy and satisfied with my first purchase a year ago as a gift for my husband and now just did my second purchase for my daughters. Thank you!

I wish the range for the remote as well as the app was better.

The Remote star is good but the app no so good, you pretty much have to be next to the car to use it. Overall is a good product for the price

My main complaint is that sometimes it gets out of range with obstacles. Works great in a empty parking lot. However, I work in a area that uses a parking ramp. I have to either park on the top or edge facing my work or it will not connect. I was told for an extra $100 I could upgrade to the mile. When does the hemorrhaging stop? Anyway, it is great for house to garage or restaurant to car.

Product works great. I had an issue with Best Buy on the install. It seems that in Los Angeles there are very few installers who are certified to install remote starts. It took almost a month to get it installed and I had to drive almost 40 miles to the Pasadena location for the install. So be prepared for son inconvenience to get it installed.

Remote Start on manual transmission vehicle is tricky however my previous and current Viper systems have never failed me. The only difference that I noticed on the new system is the sequence to enable future remote start. Now if I want to use remote start on my next drive, I have shut down the car in a specific sequence whereas I never had to do it with the old system. It is inconvenient at best however not a dealbreaker for me.
