I purchased the Viper for my 2016 Subaru Forester but once I got to my actual appointment a member of the geek squad recommended the Compustar for my vehicle. It’s been a great experience! Purchased my 1st remote starter in November. Love the long range. I was informed I have to go back to the store to change the timer of how long my remote starter stays on. 8 mins is what the store set it as. Also we had our 1st snow storm in Connecticut yesterday and my remote starter didn’t work and it didn’t work today as well. Hopefully this can be fixed asap. Not the best time to go without a remote starter as you really need it during this time.

The Remote star is good but the app no so good, you pretty much have to be next to the car to use it. Overall is a good product for the price

Wife works late into the night and this thing has been a life saver for her. Starts her car from her office about 10 min before she leaves. Highly recommend for anyone that doesn't have a remote start already.

Got this for the wife as a xmas present. Living in the north west the winter mornings are pretty cold. She is now able to start the car from inside the house and defrost the windows and have a nice warm cozy car when she gets in. Had it installed by Best Buy techs. Took 2 hours. Excellent job and professional.

I’m not happy at all, the remote that came with it stopped working the next day after the starter was installed. My car only cranks with my own car remote.

Remote Start on manual transmission vehicle is tricky however my previous and current Viper systems have never failed me. The only difference that I noticed on the new system is the sequence to enable future remote start. Now if I want to use remote start on my next drive, I have shut down the car in a specific sequence whereas I never had to do it with the old system. It is inconvenient at best however not a dealbreaker for me.

It's worked every time!! The only thing that aggravates me is that the car cuts off when you push the brake and you have to restart it! But other than that it's been great

Great remote starter. Got this for my wife before it starts snowing here. I also got the 2 way fob and she has not problem understanding when it's started. Also extends the distance so she can start it from her desk at her work.

The remote start is great. But the pit stop mode is awesome! You can leave your car running while locked to go grab something from the house or store real quick. Has a smart sequence before remote start can even be activated on a MT vehicle so don't worry about pressing a button while your parked car is in gear and watching it roll away. You can't activate remote start when in gear unless it got in gear while the car is locked.

Easy to use. Good price point for what it does. It does need to come with more than one remote though.
