Bought this new from another vendor for a boat. Self installed and is reliable as the batteries are on a constant trickle charge for next time out.

I drive an older car & after many years my factory security started to fail,.. after several audio upgrades I decided to beef up the security as well. My only negative point is that Viper is very particular about who installs their equipment. The wiring diagram is deliberately vague & they will not supply detailed install instructions to anyone except "authorized technicians" so like it or not your best bet is to pay best buy for an authorized installation. Then if you want to tweak the location of the brain, sensors, etc... then you can always go back under the dash and make whatever changes you may want to make. I've noticed that installers tend to leave everything right out in the open which kind of negates the point of an alarm in the first place, that is, if a thief can just look under the knee panel and easily disable the system it doesn't really help you keep your gear safe... I opted to do just that & disguise the new Viper wiring in among the factory wire harness & made some adjustments to the sensors at the same time. I'm also planning on adding the remote start option which is designed to be an easy add on to the existing system with just a few extra wires to connect.

After giving my wife a remote start for Christmas - she gave me one for my birthday. It's the gift that gives all year round. I love getting in my car in the winter and my car is nice and warm, or in the summer getting into a nice cool car. I remember this gift everyday.

It's not the most sensitive alarm, but it works. It's not very loud. Even at it's highest setting it's not very sensitive. This one does not give a verbal warning to stand back like the old ones in the old days. It's a bit annoying since I already have a remote start key with the vehicle. I have a 2013 Dodge Avenger that did not require a bypass. The only downside is that I have to use both car key and alarm remote to arm and lock my door. Either way, it works.

My Son suggested this security for my vehicle, which seems since installed December 2022 I've had no problems with it and so far its been working to my expectations. I'd say it is a good buy and good investment.

I have only had the system installed for roughly 3 weeks, but it has been a vast improvement over my factory installed system. I really like the design and size of the included keyless remotes as well as the sound of the alarm being armed/unarmed and the sound of the system when it is triggered. The sounds are very audible. Hopefully it lasts the remainder of my vehicles life, we will have to just wait and see.

It's a car alarm, with keyless entry. It works. It will also work with the EXISTING pins or latches for the OEM hood pins/locks so that you may NOT need a tilt switch.
It also worked with the OEM " trunk pop " so that I did NOT need an extra relay.

This alarm system is perfect for the price. Great features and installation is included. However.... the install took all day, which I didn't mind. What concerned me was the fact that they cracked my driver side kick panel as well as the fastener of the release handle of the rear hatch. Since the install took all day... past 630pm, I picked up my vehicle after the shop was closed. I didn't notice the discrepancies until the next day. They should have said something about it.

The best $150 I have ever spent more convenient than having To open the door with the keys and the security is an added feature that gives me a lot of peace of mind

This alarm is a great deterrant, but it's not sensitive enough to go off if someone breaks into the bed of my truck. I recommend something with multiple sensors that can detect such actions.

Great alarm. I got on it on sale, for 100 bucks. But had another shop install it. It does it job. The only thing I can complain about is the fact the remotes are not the same as the picture. So maybe BestBuy should fix that. It kinda made me wonder if I didn't receive the right product.
