This starter works on occasion - if you're standing outside next to your car. Does not start from my apartment 800 feet to my car parked in an open parking garage. Can't decide if it doesn't work through concrete walls, or just doesn't work from indoors anywhere.

It stops working only after five months! And never trust what is told. I have to be within 10 feet to start my engine. I don't see why it says the maximum distance is 2,000 ft. The worst product I bought at Bestbuy ever.

I purchased two viper remote starters for around $573 as gifts. I had to return one because that person wanted something different. I was refunded $66? Not happy, taken advantage of and feel dumb for accepting this amount for a refund. I have tried to reach out twice to your website on the feedback and asked for an explanation and have received none, this is when I was logged into my best buy acct. I wont be giving any recommendations nor will I shop at best buy unless this is resolved.

I purchase the alarm system for kid for a Christmas present. Dropped the car off to have it installed, only to discover when I picked up the vehicle there was only one remote. The tech stated this system only comes with one remote and if I want another I can purchase it for additional 70.00. I purchase same alarm system at Abc auto for my wife car last year, it came with two remotes.

I returned the product before I left the store. The price included installation, but they said they couldn't install it. The staff was unprofessional, uninformed, and extremely rude. I asked for a refund and they wouldn't give me back the money for installation even though I never left the store. After fighting with the manager, I eventually got a full refund.

Purchased remote start via best buy online. Trying to makes appt for installation appt. It can only be made by directly contacting geek squad. Unable to make appt even through store manager. Have left multiple messages with geek squad at 2 different stores over past 2 weeks and still have not even rec' d 1 call back. I understand being busy, but too busy for your next customer??

My mom knew she wanted one living in Maine - she's going nuts over it! Absolutely loves it. Once installed it is super easy to use as it is a one button push to start. She has not had a problem with the range on it either.

Original cost $139 Was told by Best Buy staff that If I purchased this item as a package for an additional $100, I would not have to worry, it would cover any additional pieces needed to function. However, upon pickup, was informed by installer that I needed a $140 adapter to make it work with phone App. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!

I ordered it over a month ago online along with geek squad and still have a few weeks to wait before install. None of the stores had available appointments. I will check the appointment schedules first next time.

I had this system installed at Best Buy for a Christmas present. For $269 this was a perfect solution for a simple, no frills, remote start system. I didn't need a security system and unfortunately this system did not work entirely with my 2011 Honda Odyssey system, so let me explain. Basically this system is independent of the stock remote. I can start, stop and unlock the van with the Viper remote, but my stock remote for opening the sliding doors only works if I don't remote start the van. It's fine because I got the system to warm up the car in the winter. To get a system that uses the factory remote would cost an arm and a leg. Just my two cents, but buy what you want for features and let Best Buy do the rest.

3 visits and 6 hours later I finally have a remote start. Sad that i can't even get an extra key fob remote, I'm told they're not available for a unit I just bought. Worst experience I've had in 41 years of servicing vehicles!

I took this back as I found one ( not this brand ) cheaper from a competitor. I'm quite sure this would of been a very good remote start but it just came down to saving more money.

This remote starter short circuited and damaged the entire wiring system of my car. I had to spend almost $2000 to fix the car

2011 Honda Odyssey exl with keyless entry. Factory remote start was $475 installed and the remote is huge. This was $199 plus $5 charge at geek squad. You must buy the relay, which this package included. There are two packages one with and one without this relay. Make sure you get the correct one otherwise you will pay much more at the install. This comes with a small remote. It starts the engine with the press of the button twice. Open the door with the press of a third. You cannot use your door open from the factory remote after the car is started but it's not a big deal because once hit the button a third time all doors unlock. I didn't want to spend more for the unlock lock functions on the multi button remotes because I wanted to maintain my factory keyless functions. Works great, decent radius. Huge saving and no issues at install.
