I recently had this Viper Smart Start module installed in my Honda CRV. And it has been an absolute charm so far. Not ONE PROBLEM With the installation. Jim is simply the best!!! not to take away from others who install it, but the system on my previous vehicle a Nissan Rogue - ran into problems from day one. would not start. drain battery etc. But as it turned out it was the battery not the remote start. So Now not only do i have a physical key fob to start the car - and it has a really good coverage all the way to the end of a huge parking lot from inside a building BUT ALSO across from anywhere literally - when i start it with my ONLINE app that uses any kind of internet to start/stop the car and lock/unlock doors and a Panic button. In a nutshell, a must have for these ridiculously long winters we have in Michigan. Oh to get into a car that is already warmed up with nice heated seats!!! Highly recommend this unit with the internet module and also to Get this installed at Best Buy (Okemos Location). In my opinion, I think this is the best price you can get.

Sprung for the Smart Start packaged with a basic one way remote start package. This allows you to have an infinite range and two way response as long as you have cell service. Highly recommend professional installation. I used the Geek Squad Auto Tech person at a local Best Buy. You do have to purchase an annual or 3 year (best deal) subscription to use Smart Start since it's like a cell service plan. Awesome...can start the vehicle from anywhere from my iPhone!

This module is one of the few investments that I am very proud of. The fact that you could be across the world and start your car is very impressive. It shows me how much the world has advanced. The only thing that I think could be better is the reaction time. It takes it approximately 6 seconds to receive any command. But all in all I highly recommend this to people.

Adding this module to your Viper remote start system allows you to start/stop your vehicle from just about anywhere you have cell signal, with only a few caveats. Once in a while, you get a weird connection error where either the car or the app can't connect to the service, so you'll have to hit the button a couple times rather than just once. Overall though, it's a great addition to an already-useful system, and definitely helpful for getting your vehicle started when you're nowhere near the normal range of your regular remote.

Easily starts with remote or iPhone app very user friendly

This now works well in my 2012 Pilot. Works at any distance as long as it's in range of a cell phone tower and you get feedback when it works or if it doesn't. It worked for about a week and then stopped working. The techs at Viper had to push a firmware update to the device. Once they did that it's worked reliably from my Android phone and from my wife's IPhone. I'm glad its from Viper and not some small time knock off company supporting this as I think as the phone technologies evolve over the next several years, this device and the associated phone apps will need to evolve as well. My only regret is not having them connect the seat warmer to the remote rather than the trunk. That would have been more useful if I'd thought about it before the install.

We purchased the unit and thought we could pay around $4 a month for the service which we would have been ok with after paying over $100 for the installation of the unit. But when we went to activate the service, we found you have to pay for a year or 3 years all at once, and not per month. So we haven't paid the additional hundred dollars yet to activate the service. This would have been nice to know in advance and it would be nice if we could pay for the service per month billed to a cc. It sounds like a really nice service and someday we will get to be able to use it.

Its coo to have. Haven't used as much as i would like. Great to have when out and about. If someone breaks in or sets off the alarm, I will be notified.

Great concept and it works flawlessly. I don't carry keys anymore and I just leave them locked in my car. I have yet to have needed to remote start my car from China yet but I am sure it would work. I have however unlocked my car from across the state so my wife could get in. Now she has the app on her phone as well.

only had about 2 wks but works great since I was out of town I could to be sure nothing was wrong with the vechice and kept lock at all times

Great product...app is a little finicky at times and sometimes have to reinstall to get to work but other than that ha great features

Great system. But second remote needed reprogramming after 1 week. Adjusting the senstivity for the alarm itself still has some quirks.

A great product however it was installed on a 2013 Lexus GS350 and the engine cuts off regardless if the key fob is within reach or not. There is no solution to this and it is annoying however this is my only complaint. Time to install took about 6 hours. I would still recommend this product in a heartbeat if you live somewhere with I climate weather.

With this additional part, I was able to stick with the least expensive, simplest model remote starter and still have the range I needed. I can start my car before I leave the building at work, and the app lets me know it's running even though the garage is a block and a half away.

I love being able to check the status of my car alarm from my iPhone! The ability to get text messages and alerts when the alarm goes off is awesome! Thanks to Jeff at the Northglenn, CO for the super professional install and great customer service! This guy know his stuff!

Straight forward installation. BBW extra installation charges apply when not installed with new alarm brain installation + there is a MRC for the service. Great Product overall; and stellar Geek Squad Installation.

It's a big treat getting into a nice warm car when it's freezing outside! One of the best purchases we've ever made.It will also be great this summer to come out to a nice cool car. Well worth the money. Thumbs way up!

I love this product because I never have to fumble for my keys to open or even start my car. The app is ready and right there on my phone which is always in my hands. Extremely happy with this product!!
