    Top Of The Line Smartphone

The HTC DESIRE 626s is a fantastic smartphone. The HD screen is brilliant with a pretty good front facing camera and a real nice rear facing camera. Android 5.1 out of the box is choice, especially for a no-contract phone. Virgin Mobile offers great plans ($35/mo. gets Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 2.5GB of 4G data). Impressive option for anyone who wants a smartphone on a budget.

    Good specs, bad design

I bought this phone last year when I was trying to decide between this at Virgin Mobile's other latest release, the Moto G(3rd gen). I decided that since this was 20-40 bucks cheaper, slightly lower specs and my familiarity with the HTC 816, I decided to go with this. The phone worked welol enough. Felt good, really shiny and had the "look" of a phone 3 to 4 times more expensive than it actually was. My data transferred easily enough from my Volt to this and I was able to keep my older messages and text that I had before. But the first big problew I noticed with this was it's design. I try to stay in shape so I run. And I began to notice as I ran playing the MP3 and headphones that randomly the "Ask google" prompt would chime in as if I opened the app or clicked the microphone. I didn't and there was no way to disable it. It rendered my unable to workout AND listen to music at the same time. That would have been bad enough if it weren't for the one time I was out eating and went to the bathroom placing my phone on a baby changing station and watched as it slide right off. Now, I've had Virgin Mobile phones for well over 15 years and have had them fall plenty of times but this was the FIRST time the screen shattered. That same sleek design I thought was cool would cause me to have constant grip problems also. I'm not a small man. I'm 6'2 230. 11" hands.the back side of the phone has NO gripping design or ridges like the Moto, Volt or K3. It isn't rubber either like the Event or 816. It's EXTREMELY smooth and because of the size of the phone you can easily lose grip and because it does not have gorilla glass, something I took for granted, it's extremely likely to shatter. If you're like me and choosing between this or the Moto, go with the Moto.

I was transferring a previous Virgin Mobile account to this phone and it took some time and I had to re-do a few things a couple of times. But all in all in is a good phone

    Okay replacement phone

It's an...okay phone. My old phone got smashed last January and Best Buy stopped carrying it so on a whim I bought this one and it worked decently for a while but now it's dying. The storage has been a major issue since day one and you don't really have any solutions outside of buying an extra SIM. The battery wasn't an issue at all until about a month ago, when it suddenly just started draining rapidly for no apparent reason. I'll charge it to full first thing in the morning and then within two hours I'm down to 20% even if I didn't even touch it. But that's a pretty recent thing so if you're buying this as a quick replacement it works pretty well for a while. It switches pretty easily between apps and my texting starting lagging only recently with the battery draining. But essentially right now, it's just falling apart after less than eight months.

    NO SPACE

This is quite possibly one of the worst phones I have ever purchased. It claims to have 8gb of storage but 6 of them are taken up by apps that you can't uninstall. The only redeeming qualities about the phone are the camera, it's durability, and it's style. However, in the end it is not worth it.

It was a gift for a GF and she loved it. She went from a Samsung Galaxy S3 and loved it just as much for 1/4 of the price.

This phone had everything I wanted in a phone. I was concerned when reading other reviews because they said you couldn't move apps to the SD card. This is not true! You can move apps to the SD card. The biggest problem with this phone is the amount of space used up by the pre-installed apps.

At first I was worried about getting an HTC because I had always used Samsung in the past. I'm glad I gave HTC a try. This phone has a great camera. I particularly like the panorama mode. All around a great Android device.

when I first bought this phone I really liked it but it had a few glitches I looked past like the text messages wouldn't send sometimes until a few tries of resending it....but after a month of having it, the phone just shut off and wouldn't turn back on...I returned it and bought the same phone again because I was thinking maybe the phone I had was defected...now after a month of having the phone it shut off again...I looked up reviews and this is a common thing!! after a month the phone shuts off and stops working....like I said, don't buy this phone!

This is a very premium feeling device for an android phone below $100. It's an excellent temporary phone if you're between flagships or if a cell phone isn't a priority in your life.

Sounded like a great phone, but within a week and a half it started malfunctioning. It will just die and restart itself randomly, and ask to send an error report. So disappointed.

The phone overall was a great buy and the android function is liked by many and my mother loves it. The only downside is the camera she finds that the pictures aren't as crisp as she likes. Other than that she likes the phone.

I bought this phone on December 5th, 2015. I loved this phone at first.....but then I started noticing it restarted by itself all the time. One day, it shut off and wouldn't turn back on....I had to do a hard reset or reboot, whatever. I thought this phone would last me until later this year, I'll be getting the Samsung Galaxy J3 tomorrow. I hope that will last me for a good while.

Less than a year old and I'm trading out...

This phone comes with 8GB of ROM, but they don't tell you that most of this is already filled with pre-loaded apps that can't be removed. Even with what I would consider a handful of bare minimum apps I've added, I can no longer update either the phone or the apps. This has happened repeatedly over the last year, and resolving is always frustrating, typically resulting with the removal of some apps I'd rather keep. Though it's a potential alternative, there's no clear option to change settings and upload all new apps to the SD card, even when allowed by the source. Switching apps, pics or music to SD is also cumbersome and unreliable. For what it's worth, I had the same problem with the only other HTC I owned several years ago. Will never buy HTC, again.
