Not an upgrade from older phones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was assisted by a Best Buy customer service rep in the phone department. I brought in my old LG Volt phone, which had malfunctioned, and said I wanted something in a similar size, but a newer, better model. Unfortunately, the only phone of a similar size (still convenient for pockets), was the LG Tribute 2, for which LG downgraded the OS, losing features left and right, but still taking up enough of the memory that the phone had practically no memory for apps. While using this phone, I regularly deleted the cache just to have enough memory open for the phone to run properly. The only good side of this phone is that it convinced me to search deals with other companies so I could get a better phone at a lower monthly rate from a different provider.

Awful phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this phone not even 4 months and i already have to replace it because it will no longer hold a charge. Also bought it at full price and now it's being honored at $20.00. That shows how horrible this phone is.

Sometimes you get a lot more than you pay for....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not such a big techie....but I am not the last person left on the bus either. I had used a LG Optimus V phone for the last 4~5 years until it started to really show its wear and tear recently (shutting itself down daily in the middle of being used). So I have been looking for a replacement. The Tribute was on my top 3 list and when it went on Thanksgiving Black Friday at Best Buy I jumped at the chance. So far it is a major jump forward from my old Optimus V. All the good reviews are absolute correct in listing the pros and I would like to go on record by addressing some of the cons...like the speakers sound fine to me....much better than my old Optimus . The screen is gorgeous & the phone has a decent amount of storage. I am a Virgin Mobile customer so it did come loaded with some programs which I disconnected and I added other like NPR One and Fast News. Oh, and to the reviewer who gave this phone low marks b/c the start button is located on the back of the phone....it has a knock feature...you knock the screen 3 times and it wakes up the phone. I've only had this now for 3 days so I will add to the review if my experience changes with time.

Decent phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First you must realize you are paying less than $100 for an Android phone, I paid $59.99 at Best Buy compared to my old LG Volt that is still more than $150. I do not like where the buttons are. The power and volume controls are on the BACK of the phone. Everytime a message comes in I have to pick the phone up and hit the button on the back to unlock. Also, there is no silent feature, vibrate is the lowest it goes. As for the home page, there are only two "tabs" compared to four on the LG volt. The icons and overall look of it reminds me of Atari, I don't know why. I like the phone and maybe will get used to the buttons on the back, so far I have not. The speed is good and I was able to add an SD card for additional space (The model I bought had 8mb to start)

Clunky, slow, and not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the fastest phone.... Everything you do on it is like running in slow motion. Click an icon, wait. Delete some photos, wait. As you navigate, it is slow to respond. Try to unlock the screen, put in a password, and yes, you have to wait while it struggles to verify the password and let you in. Locks up, pauses constantly while it tries to catch up. After about 6 weeks, it completely. BEST BUY was fantastic... They allowed me to pay the difference and get something else. I would NOT buy this phone again.

Nice Upgrade from the Tribute One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this phone from the Tribute One because I needed more memory than the Trb I offered. I realize this phone doesn't have a ton of memory but compared to the one it replaces, it is way better on that front. I have downloaded all of the apps that I used to swap out for lack of memory, the internet speed seems better, and the size is just right for my needs. This phone is a little smaller than the Tribute One but it is lighter and easier to carry around. The On/Off button is on the back but I just turn it On/Off by tapping twice on the face. Very happy with this budget replacement phone.

Good little phone for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone to replace the previous LG I had. 10 times better than previous model in it's price range. Initially fast and responsive. It's not a huge phone which is nice. Compared to other phones I have had, this one is great for the price. Seems to be more durable. I have dropped it a bunch of times and nothing has happened. A couple drawbacks though. As time goes on and the phone got slow as it stores a lot of data for the system. Adding an SD card and using cloud storage solved some of that. The front camera doesn't provide an interactive focus at close range. Could be a software thing. If you are looking for a simple Android for very little money. This does the trick.

Way Too many steps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Complicated. Complicated phone touch this touch that touch this touch that and then you're there. no navigation no actual icon buttons to just touch and go who wants to download icons. it should come with it automatically. U gotta figure it out each time its a pain Seems it shuts off on its own always.always restarts.

Amazing is an understatement!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am more than happy every time I purchase this phone. I've bought 3 of them. My first one dropped in a lake never to be seen again (RIP), my second one got crushed by heavy machinery & my last one still works after so many drops, bangs & dents I have given it. The screen recently cracked but it put up a great fight. The phone works fast, never an issue with freezing or running slow. Audio is clear except for on speaker calls can be kinda low but the pros outweigh the cons. It's easy to use, fun to learn and appealing to the eye. Their storage is decent. It has software that can't be uninstalled but it leaves you with a decent amount of room. I had a few huge games, a bunch of smaller apps, countless pictures and vudeos plus even more room to spare. I did eventually purchase an SD card but it wasn't desperately needed although I would suggest it considering any updates. This phone is worth every dollar spent, it's beyond amazing!!!
