Customers highly value the Moto G (3rd Generation)'s camera quality, battery life, ease of use, and screen size. Many also appreciate its affordability and water resistance. However, some users express concern regarding the limited internal memory and storage space. Adding an SD card is often suggested to mitigate the storage limitations.

No memory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone has very little memory. After a month I had to start deleting aps. If you use for only calls and texts might be ok. Very unhappy

Worst Phone Ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone was terrible on so many levels. I got it on sale, but you couldn't pay me to keep this thing. The screen is low res and very difficult to see. It gets super hot. The speaker is horrendous. Internet is slooooow. Video is poor res. The phone in general is bush league. I returned it and got a virgin mobile iphone inner circle plan. $1 for a year of unlimited just have to buy the phone! I think virgin only has the 6 months for $1 currently. Timing is everything.

Not so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old phone connected right away to 3G and 4G networks. This one does not. I just get LTE (not really sure what that means). CONSTANTLY the phone is attempting to download something called ID. And failing. Like once or twice a day. I am not sure if that is what connects the phone to 3G and 4G. Attempted to transfer data from old phone to this one with a Motorola app and it will not download more than 21% before shutting off. All in all, not happy with this phone.

Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best phone I've owned to date! It far outweighs my previous LG phones. I thought it would be too big for my tastes, but it turns out to be perfect. It has a solid feel to it. I love the fact that I can move some apps to the SD card, saving precious disk space. The audio quality is great and I can even adjust it to fit my tastes. The shake twice to turn on the flashlight and twist twice to turn on the camera feature is fantastic! Although I kind of miss the LCD light for notifications, all I have to do I move the phone to easily see them on the screen. Plus, I can deactivate the phone lock based on location, so it doesn't lock when I'm at home. I have yet to find anything I dislike about this phone.

Actual Data Space Available
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the stated storage space is 8GB - the space ACTUALLY available for installation of your own apps is 3.49GB. Information like this should be readily available to the consumer, otherwise it is very misleading as to how much functionality the device actually has.

Nice Looking, Stuff keeps crashing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this phone for a week. It looks nice, feels nice, and supports everything you could want or need. The camera qualities are really nice, and I liked getting used to it. However... even since day 1, I get an error message dozens of times throughout the day saying Google Play Services has stopped working or Mobile ID has stopped working. It didn't appear to actually be causing any problems with the phone's use, though. This morning, System UI stopped working, too! Needless to say, this phone will be returned. Very disappointed.

Perfect phone for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart phone...I waited this long to adopt. The Moto G takes sweet pictures and there is couple neat features to quickly turn on the flashlight or quickly take pictures.

lackluster
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is acceptable, but for a 13 mp camera it sure doesn't have many camera features. The screen and colors are crisp and clear. Bought this for my teen. He hasn't complained about it at all. It seems satisfactory for his needs.

Good starter phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone itself is fine. This is my first smart phone. I upgraded from a six year old slider. I can do so many things on this phone that makes life convenient. The only drawback is the limited memory, but that's due to my cell provider ( Virgin Mobile) not the phone manufacturer.

good phone, only one problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past two years I've owned 2 moto g's - love the phone in general..But everyone i talk to said they could not hear me, even though I could hear them fine. Both phones in this model have same problem. Wish they could troubleshoot this problem., otherwise a good phone.

Very hot, power issues, slow, bad touchscreen!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've rarely had a phone so awful, and I've had some awful phones. It's turned me around on the Moto brand. I was trying to replace my very functional Moto G first generation (stolen six months ago) and didn't like the E, so I tried this one as soon as it came out. Everything I read suggested that it fixed every issue I had with the E, but after a month I realized how wrong I was. - This phone came out of the box with SIM card issues and a bootstrap and OS error. It also failed to download updates. I went to Boost, tried to cash in my protection plan, and--well I won't bore you with that. Suffice it to say I was stuck with the phone unless I wanted to pay its replacement cost in parts and return fees and deductibles. I declined. The adventure began. -On a given day I get two bootstrap errors, an OS error, and eight to eleven 'can't download updates' errors. I used to go through the online rigamarole to fix these things every time. Not after X months. -A lot of what I Swype is gibberish. I would blame this on a programming adaptation away from Swype as more people are using two thumbs (the accuracy does improve with single digit input, but the screen's too small for thumbs and typing text blocks with a stylus is annoying) but the sensitivity is as bad all over the screen. I have to click icons and links over and over. I have to swipe things or try to turn pages many times, until it locks up the app I'm in. It's so slow to expand or shrink screens that the whole phone locks. I can't toggle between screens without problems at least 1/3 of the time. I lose almost all calls and have to call back, not because I can't hear them ringing (though it takes through half of each ringtone before they become audible) but because I click over. and over. and over. on the Accept Call button and nothing happens. (Or it disappears and one of those screens I was trying to open the hour before pops up.) - It doesn't report. I went through frustrating hours with the manual and tutorials to see if somehow I'd told it to filter sound at certain hours or something--nope. Most times I don't get notification sounds if the lock screen is on (except when I do). Therefore I can't trust alarms to go off, calendar events to come up, or emergency calls to reach me. As I'm on call for my job, this is a bad feature. - I can't actually delete things; even when I try, they appear as running when I look further. Adjacent to this problem, I can't move anything permanently to the SD or set things up to save there, even though I've clicked that option often. You can't run apps from there, which means that you run out of room so fast you have to delete everything that makes having a smartphone worth it. - Even though this has a faster processor than my last phone with the same amount of RAM, and my last phone ran heavier stuff, it's very sluggish. Many, many lockups. I've joked that the power button is how I swap between apps, conveniently located so I can hit it against the edge of the table. (I haven't done that.) I've installed streamlining 'ware that worked well on the Moto G with no improvement in performance. - With all of that, I still thought "I can stand it long enough to save for something better"...until I started having to charge it four times a day, it stopped charging at weird battery percents, and my app that checked CPU temp reported 150F+ every day. Last week that pegged at 188 and the screen turned pink with some pixels--locked, obviously. It was too hot to pick up, as was the charger. This has became a daily event. I'm now looking for a new phone. You can bet it won't be a Moto anything.

Overall pretty happy with Moto G
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone looking to upgrade from the camera on my old phone. The camera is pretty good, especially for the price. So far my only "complaint" is that the phone sound (in your ear) is a little muffled and not as clear as my last phone (which was a cheap LG).
