    Best Buy did not keep it’s word.

    The Geek squad rep found that the problem was caused by a defective product sold by Best Buy. I had to return the item for exchange. He said that he would credit the service charge for his visit. This did not happen, as my account was never credited. Plus the new product has already failed, I am getting another unit from a different source.

    The tech who came to my house got the laptop working well, but told me he would return with a further fix. That never happened. PLUS, a few weeks after the ''fix'' my laptop is running WORSE THAN EVER......

    our epson printer failed. we took it to the Bellevue WA geek squad and was told to take it to the Issquah geek squad for repair. We arrived there on Friday and was told they do not repair printers. Why were we told in Bellevue incorrect information? Not the usual service we expect.

    geek squad lost my documents and pictures

    While trying to see if computer had a virus, he wiped out my documents and pictures. Had to bring in and they sent it off. Still don't have back after about 6 weeks. Not happy at all with our first experience from the geek squad.

    Some how Best Buy screwed up attaching my boyfriends information to my account. Hes never had Geek Squad. But his cell was called he had no idea about my appointment. I made this appointment 2 weeks in advance. And because GS called the wrong number,my bf didnt have an appointment and he had no idea what was up. And I want to know how my boyfreinds information on my account. Now with many apologies I have to wait another 2 weeks for the next appointment

    They updated my computer and all but didn’t fix the cooling issues and gave vague descriptions on how to fix it. Not sure what I paid for.

    Geek squad unable to replace hard drive

    I find it difficult to believe that there is not a replaceable hard drive for my sons Dell laptop. As we all are dealing with, we waited almost two weeks for an in home repair and he said send in to replace hard five. We do so and again we get feedback that a comparable Hard drive is not available. It seems like the person could not be bothered to order one??? Now I am being charged for no repair. It might seem more reasonable if the cost of attempted repair could be applied to a purchase

    The first repair Tech I had out here to do the diagnostic was very good. However, he had promised me a quote on Monday and to be back out on Friday to put in a new hard drive. Monday came and went with no call. Friday came no call no show we waited all day for him to come and he never showed up. I called the customer complaint center they said they would send someone else out. He was supposed to be on Monday and never showed up never called. He called on Tuesday afternoon and said he couldn't make it but he would be there on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and he was a no-call no-show. Another call to customer service said he would be here on Friday. Again no-call no-show. I'm done with them.

    Printer PC combo repaired mid Nov, now no longer works. A 2nd printer PC combo repaired by the Geek Squad also no longer functions. There is no "spot" on their site to have this discussed. I guess that I will simply have to seek other repair sources. a

    Have had two or three Men check out system, the last one put in Google Chrome, which is not valuable. Ask him to remove same, and have not heard other than a message to remove same. Man that I used before had a heart attack, & is a teacher of computers at the colleges, so he said to cancel all & he will make the time to repair the mess Geek Squad left on my computer!!!

      Hi ces711 – We’d never want to install a program that wasn’t wanted by one of our clients. Please give us a call at 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778) to discuss this and see if we can help you out by removing it. I will add, however, that Google Chrome takes up very few system resources, especially when not being used, and may be a useful backup browser. We can discuss the benefits of it with you, and you may want to decide to keep it installed.

    Agent was sent to Arizona for this date of scheduled service and I paid for this! Complainer and appealed to Geek Squad customer Service twice and a report was created and told that someone in the escalation unit would call me back in 24-48 hours. No one ever called me back from these two different cases. DO NOT RECOMMEND GEEK SQUAD. NO ACCOUNTABILITY.
