    Scheduling in home visit is not user friendly

    The in home help I received from Bryn and Dawnelle was great. Scheduling is a nightmare. I got someone on the phone who tried to insist that I use online help. He said no in home visits were available and would not make me an appointment. There is easy way on your website to make a home visit. I am due renewal i Feb and considering cancelin rather than go through this hassle, I know when it is something I can do online sush as a tune up but when it is more than that I need some one to come to my home.

    Poor results from Geek Squad visit

    I was EXTREMELY disappointed with our visit from Ryan. I had several questions for him. First one was a question about my phone ; said he couldn’t help with iPhone. Second question was to check if I had a virus on my iPad. He said there was no check and that iPads didn’t get a virus. Thirdly, I asked how to get more iPad cloud space. He showed me. Up to this point, that’s all he did. My husband asked him if he could connect my iPad to printer. He “said “he got it working, but didn’t show me how. He said ink in printer was low and INSISTED he would put in new cartridge. After that the printer would not work at all. Bought new one from Best Buy. Made appt. For him to come back May 18th. Will cancel. After The printer wouldn’t work, I called Ryan on his cell (he gave me a card with his personal cell number) but said he’d have to put in for a re-do with Geek Squad. First appointment was May 18th. If we didn’t buy a new one, we would be in a pickle. I just feel strongly that what he did was not worth $149.00! In fact, he should be paying us for the printer he ruined. Very, very disappointed. By the way, we just got done buying $5,000 worth of appliances from Best Buy. Will NEVER call Geek Squad again and will tell my neighbors and friends about my experience. ,

    Waste of money

    Purchased a 75 inch tv with the protection plan and 6 months later while watching the tv it when black. Power still was on but didn’t work. Called geek squad and had some parts sent to my place and a technician came out on the 17th of April. Geek Squad swapped out the parts and turned the tv on, created a spark of electricity and immediately unplugged it. The member told me a fire could’ve started so he’ll order some more parts. Had to wait a week and a half for a panel to be delivered via Freight Truck. Swapped the panel out, again nothing changed with the screen. Told me I needed 1 more attempt to process an Return Authorization (RA). Third time comes and yet again, tv isn’t fixed. I was at work on a military installation, my wife was off because I had already took time off from work twice to oversee the process, then they come and say the part wasn’t the going to fix the tv. After expecting them to have an RA they put in another order for a part and left (not to mention my wife heard them going through our candy jar without asking, weird). Called Geek squad and spoke with a rep for 40 minutes about why I can’t get the TV replaced. He mentioned that the service doesn’t replace right away, and my services would be voided if I got another tv which means I’d have to fork out another $150 for a protection plan. Also told me I didn’t get parts shipped here yet I have camera footage of all instances, and told me he’d call me giving me a final review, and not to mention now I have to wait 2 more weeks for this part to come in. So I’ve been without a tv for 3+ weeks which could extend close to a month and a half since a repair was scheduled 2 weeks from now, paying for cable services I can’t use, and paying $150 for geek squad who isn’t trying their best to resolve the issue.

    Did Not Touch My Laptop for Four Weeks

    I was highly disappointed by the service I received. I brought my laptop into the store and was told 2-3 weeks, 4 at the max. I was told that I would get my laptop before going back to school for the spring semester. Throughout the weeks, I received no update other than it arrived at the repair center. When the fourth week came, there was still no update. I called and was told that they had ordered parts, and they were either waiting or had gotten them. It’s gotten close to me going back to school, so this week I contacted someone and was told the repair was in progress and they could not assist me further and to call the store that I took it to. I did, and the associate I spoke to told me that the Geek Squad did “something” to my laptop that he didn’t know of and that they didn’t even request any parts. I’m now going back to school, without a laptop, and am highly disappointed. I will not recommend this to anyone.

    Bleak Squad--No Shows for Appointments

    My recent experience with Geek Squad has convinced me I can no longer be a GS customer, but also I may have spent my last dollar as a Best Buy customer. Service was scheduled today on my appliance. I received a call the night before confirming my appointment between 12 p.m.-5 p.m. At 5:15 p.m., I called GS and was told the service provider thought the appointment was the day before. Again, I was home all day the day prior and no one showed for that fictitious appointment either. I was told it would be later in the week before I could receive the service which is unacceptable. So, now I get to arrange my day around GS in hopes their provider fulfills their obligation. This service is unreliable and I absolutely regret purchasing. Please do yourself a favor and just pay for your own repairs out of your pocket versus hoping Best Buy meets their commitment.

    this is useless to me. i had a geek squad account according to geek squad just a few weeks ago, now they tell me i do not have a geek squad account. i had someone work on my laptop remotely just a few weeks ago. what is wrong with geek squad?

    Can you believe it as soon as we got to the Geek Squad desk a young fella started lecturing about how you had to pay around 50 bucks for a diagnosis on your computer not including the repair if somethings wrong with it, or that if nothing is wrong with your computer you still have to pay the 50 dollar "Diagnosis". Not to mention that the guy at the desk probably was new because he took his sweet time to explain this trash Geek crap to me. What a waste of my time, and even Apple will diagnose your phone for you for free then give you an option on how to fix your device. Pathetic, go to a different place if you really want to fix your computer faster and cheaper.

    They arrive without knowing what to do in certain cases and do not fix the OS as promised. Then they ask you to go to a store? Lost time this is clear misleading cuatomers and false promising to sell.

    Geek Squad have yet to refund me my $

    I ordered this service and canceled the service but did not receive my refund. Best Buy has given me so many problems and bad service regarding my refund. I advise all prospective customers or current customers to only buy from them if you use their credit card because then u don't have to worry about getting your money back. You can dispute the bill as all goods returned. Moreover, their customer service is very poor. You can never get a supervisor or manager and most of the subordinates are not savvy in resolving issues.
