Excellent work by geek squad team. very fast. no issues. Had a dead hard drive. They replaced. Reloaded my data, which was a trick in itself, and all apps I needed. good job.

Couldn't Repair My Laptop

I'm very thankful to the Geek Squad for being able to extract the files/data from my laptop that died, but they were unable to repair the laptop without me additional parts. My main complaint is that instead of calling me, as they said they would, they sent me an email saying I needed to call them in order for them to continue the ticket. I called the number and was on hold for approximately 30 minutes and finally got someone at a Best Buy call center who had me detail the issue only to tell me he needed to transfer me to another department. After holding for another 5-10 minutes, the new person was also not located at the Best Buy to which I'd taken my laptop and asked me what the issue was. I told that person I'd already detailed the reason I was calling and didn't feel as if I needed to do so again. All I was trying to do was call Geek Squad at my local Best Buy as they asked me to. He told me I should just go to the local store. When I went to the store, they told me they couldn't fix the old laptop unless I bought some additional parts. I'm a direction-follower by nature. Instead of sending me an email saying they needed me to call them so they could finish completing the service, they should've sent me something asking me to come to the store. The over-the-phone customer service center is atrocious. They made something very difficult that should've been very easy.

The geek squad worked on my pc and removed all the viruses in a very timely manner so i could get released from a hold on my bank due to several virsus.

Agent looked ove the desktop and because the windows update was not loading properly that meant the machine would need to have a clean windows install. Picked up the desktop 3 days later with a new windows os installed and all software re-installed.

My computer was taken over by scammers but thanks to Geek Squad, they were able to get me back and running in a week. I shut down computer immediately when I realized what the scammers had done.
