    Helps broadcast the sound from a tv that has speakers in the back for some reason. So glad we got it.

    Looks good out of the box but the sound had a very tin like tone. When watching football, the crowd noise dominated the announcers or any other sound. Even when messing with the settings, it didn’t improve much. I ended up returning it.

    This sound bar did not work with my Panasonic Plasma TV (purchased at Best Buy in Nov 2011), using either the optical or RCA cables. Returned and got a different brand with an HDMI output, but did not need that connection as the optical connection worked right out of the box.
