    Nice Small 1080P Smart TV

I picked this up to put in a small RV, replacing an older 720p TV with a built-in DVD player. Installation and setup was a snap and, while the initial channel scan did seem to take an overly long time, it found channels the older set couldn't. The picture is terrific and the sound volume is OK... I may be using a powered external speaker, which I had to use with the previous TV. The remote is the weak point... markings are not high-contrast and the buttons are too small. I'll probably pick up a universal remote, or see if the Blu Ray player I already had can be made to work with it. Even so, the whole package is very good.

Picture way better than expected and setup was a breeze. Love the pre-loaded Roku. I've been a die-hard Samsung fan in the past but this Vizio just may be a game changer. If you're looking for a smaller TV with a picture that, at times, rivals 4K, don't hesitate. Buy this one. You'll be glad you did. Great Best Buy experience too. Picked up at the store. Super easy.

Good picture, but really slow to respond to the remote control. Has built-in support for streaming (Disney+, etc.) but overall is just a cheapie for sticking in the corner.

Pro: smartcast is cool. The on board apps are generous...Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. Good picture. Cons: remote is indeed flakey with alpha numeric entries. must be carefulllllllll. Has no analog outs, besides headphone jack. I wired RCA outs, voiding warranty.

I only buy Vizio TV's. They are made well, picture quality is great and the smart TV's come pre loaded with lots of apps. The older versions has some processor issues keeping up with the apps however the newer versions are great!

Couldn't Even Get it Set Up

I bought this TV as something cheap to place in front of my treadmill. I wanted a Smart TV since the majority of my entertainment is YouTube or Netflix. First off, I agree with others that the remote is a horrible design and cheap. It is extremely smooth, and the seam in the middle has sharp edges. I know this is a budget TV, but c'mon. Now onto the TV. In order to use it, you have to go through the setup screens. I got through the first two, but once I got to the third (I believe for setting up the Wi Fi) the screen just stayed gray. No buttons did anything, neither did turning it off and on multiple times or unplugging it. I reached out to Vizio on Twitter, and no help. I eventually managed to get into the settings menu by pressing a series of buttons on the remote, and it still would not recognize my Wi Fi at all. Needless to say, I took it back to the store a day later, and purchased a Samsung (Model UN32N5300AFXZA), which was set up in a few short minutes.

    Wouldn't cast from phone

I have a ROKU TV. I didn't want to run wires to this one so I got the VIZIO CHROME CAST. After screwing around for several hours and two phone calls to customer service it's going back for a ROKU TV. The CS reps on the phone couldn't help, everything worked through the phone which was cool but when it didn't work....it didn't work. In order to add apps that weren't loaded you had to access them through your phone. On my ROKU I just added the app to TV. Real easy. This....not so easy. So one day I had it, ..its going back to Best Buy for another brand.

I bought this to replace the Chromebook laptop my wife was using by connecting it with a Chromebit and wireless keyboard/mouse combination to make it a desktop PC. It performs well as both a full function PC and a smart TV.

    Questionable quality, fair picture

Pros: * full 1080p * Smart TV Cons: * Streamcast is slow * Remote is too small for larger hands * Audible whine coming from audio connector while on mute * Poor contrast * Horizontal back, kgbt artifacts when screen is dark It’s possible I may have a rare defective unit, however this is the second one I’ve purchased since the first one would power down when giving it a slight tap. This one is going back for a refund and i’ll be looking for an alternative.

Connections not what is in the picture.

First off the unit works and looks great. The dissapointment comes with the connections. The pictures on the Best buy website show a unit that has and optical audio out and regular RCA inputs for component and composite. The unit I received does not have an optical out and the component and composite need a special cord the doesn't come with the unit. The only audio out you can use is an earphone jack. It should have been a straight up change out but instead required rewiring of the sound system to make it functional. I wish I would have been more thorough in my research.

    Worse TV hands down

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Hands down the worse TV I've ever owned. At first, everything was fine, then it slows down to a crawl, finding and selecting anything becomes a chore. Constantly locks up and has to be unplugged in order to become operational again. Randomly loses Internet connection. OS errors practically every time it's used. They're suggestion to fix it, factory reset, which works fine until the next time you turn it on.

    The Dumbest Smart TV Ever

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Cast friendly doesn't mean smart! Want to put the Spectrum App on your TV? The answer I got from Vizio was that I should add a Roku device to the TV. Seriously! Want to remove an app from the apps list - nope, can't do that. Want to add an App to the apps list... can't do that either. Cool TV if you like what's in the box but should Smart imply more? I purchased this TV because it was the smallest full 1080 resolution on the market for a TV. I'm taking it back because it's the dumbest smart TV on the market. Soooo close.

    Can't Recommend

I bought this tv as well as a Samsung and compared both. The family agreed the Vizio was superior in color and sound. We returned the Samsung. 11 months later, the Vizio would only turn on when I unplugged and replugged. As it was under warranty, it was sent in for repair. 5 months later, same problem. Now it's out of warranty. Vizio Tech was super nice but explained that at this point, I'm better off just buying a new one. Not worth the expense of repair out of my own pocket. We chuckled at the craziness since we both have tv's that are much, much older still running with no problems. Thought I should warn others to stay away from this model.
