The television only lasted a few years as the volume started to go today.

Loved my tv for over 4 years until finally it just wouldn't turn on. Regular channels, antenna or apps.

Great tv for my 84 yo, dad's room. He can watch what he wants and we can watch what we want. Win, Win! He loves watching war movies, old school tv shows, and sports.

    Poor contrast/color

Picture clarity is spot on, though I had to drop the Sharpness all the way to 0 to prevent fragments from over-sharpening. I like the spread legs as opposed to a center stand; makes it feel more solid. As a previous reviewer mentioned the remote is a bit chintzy but that's minor with the app-link feature to replace it. My biggest complaint however is the contrast and color quality. It's extremely poor, nothing at all like I saw on the demo model in-store. Out of the box everything just looked dull and washed out. I then spent the next four and a half hours tweaking the presets and custom color tuner, referring to google and various tech forums for input by users who also dealt with this same model, and it still barely makes it passable. Very disappointed overall. This is my fourth Vizio (tenth or eleventh if you count family) and in my experience they're typically rock solid out of the box. Regretfully I'll be returning this one to the retailer and seeking another monitor instead.

    picture is great, sound sucks

Speakers stuck and the only audio output is headphone jack. I have a sound bar and have to have valume at 100% to hear the tv. I am looking for a soundbar with more amp to boos the sound. if I had to use built in speakers, I would take it back cause they are worthless.

I've had this TV for only about 2 1/2 years and it's near useless now. It was great at first and worked perfectly. Now when I turn it on I can maneuver to maybe 1 or 2 screens then it freezes. I can't turn it off with the remote or the button on the TV itself. The power light at the bottom just flashes really fast. The only way to get it to turn off is to unplug it. Then if you plug it back in and expect it to work it doesn't. I've had to wait hours and even days while it's unplugged for it to work at all again. Then it'll work for a couple days no problem, then back to not working again. I'll never buy a Vizio again.

Nice features, decent pic, abysmal sound

Got two of these hard-to-find small smart tvs, for a bathroom & a kitchen. All functions are decent & within expectation of the price point...except the sound. It’s not just bad. It’s intolerable. Harsh, tinny and unadjustible bass/treble. Literally gives me a headache. Trying to find a small external speaker & or any feedback on a way to improve the output. Shame, as I’ve had other Vizio products that were spot on. This is a huge disappointment. I threw out the boxes after install, so I may be stuck donating these. Avoid!!

can't get utube tv without casting thru phone/pad

1080 tv seems great, but I bought it to stream utube tv in my office. It has a utube app but not a utube tv app and must be chromecast streamed thru a smart phone or pad. crazy to burn up a $600 phone to watch tv. The problem is the tv doesn't allow you to add more apps, apps must be streamed thru smart phone/pad. Now I need to buy a roku box to hook up to my chromecast tv, not happy

    Terrible control response, remote sucks

Took a chance on this Visio, wish I hadn't. Worst remote control I've ever handled. But worse still, the TV was painfully slow to change channels, and only by the CH^ or CHv. Direct Channel input by number was impossible. Absolutely awful. Get anything else. I bought a similar LG product, for less money, and I am very happy with it.

    NOT AS PICTURED

Bought this tv and it is NOT what is pictured. There are NO component or composite blue/green/red. This means you can't hook up a dvd player to the tv without buying a converter. Had I known that the tv that I purchased for this price did not have these inputs, I never would have bought it.

After 45 minutes of set up the speakers did not work. Also did not like the way the screen tilts forward on the stands. Returned.

    DO NOT BUY!

I've owned TVs of many different brands in my 50+ years. These are the worst, ever. I have two of the 24" (kitchen and office). Both are VERY slow, and randomly stop working. The screen will go dark (sound still there), or the screen will freeze for sometimes minutes at a time. Other times they simply will not turn on, and we have to unplug them and let the capictors drain before they will work again. These symptoms are not present in the other TVs in the house, all of which are smart TVs. Avoid these at all costs.

I’m not happy with this purchase at all. I’ve owned a larger Vizio for 9 years now and it’s still going strong...however this one misses the mark by far. Ok picture..TERRIBLE SOUND SYSTEM.

When I went to purchase this, I debated between this TV and a Roku TV. I wanted to stream Spectrum without purchasing a Roku adapter. The guy at BestBuy said that the Vizio could do this. The Vizio web site says that there is an app store to download apps like Spectrum. Bottom line: It does not do this. I contacted Vizio and they said go the app store to get this. There is no way to do this with this TV. After a long back and forth, the Vizio customer rep said that I would need to get Roku to stream Spectrum. What a ripoff and misinformation from both BestBuy and Vizio.

Thank you for your feedback. You can use the Spectrum app on this TV. To use the spectrum app you will need to download it onto your smart phone or tablet and cast it to the display through the built-in chromecast technology. VIZIO
