Great Sound / Value Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking and researching these for about a month, finally decided after reading mostly positive reviews on this Vizio 3 channel bar. Well worth the price. I had a home theater system from Yamaha which just was not as loud and clear especially when streaming TV thru my Fire TV device. What I like about this one was the fact that you can separately boost or turn down Bass, Treble and dialogue. That made all the difference for me. Now whatever we are watching comes thru very clearly, and at a low volume setting. Was very easy to set up also. remote is simple and easy to operate. I have the audio set up using the included optical cable. Obviously make sure your TV has an optical input.

Some good, some bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Vizio sound bar to replace my older 2.0 Vizio S3820w-C0 sound bar from 2013 which I was very pleased with. I just felt like it was time for an updated model and was interested in the 3.0 speaker configuration (I'm not a big fan of having a separate subwoofer, too much thump). While the SB3630-E6 definitely is an improvement in regards to TV/Movie dialogue/voices, it doesn't come without some faults. The bass on this model is a bit muddy and can be too powerful. My entertainment center table would rumble and vibrate from certain frequencies. While turning down the bass setting below the center default helped with the vibrations, it made the sound bar sound deflated and empty. I ended up buying some quarter inch thick vibration dampening isolation foam pads to place under each end of the sound bar to stop my entertainment center table from rumbling and vibrating, something I never had to do with my older Vizio sound bar. The 3.0 speaker system has mixed results when it comes to playing and listening to music. Some songs and albums in my collection sounded great, others sound just sounded weird. The sound bar has two EQ presets, Music and Movie, and I prefer the Music preset for all applications (TV, Movies, Music) but the bar could really have benefited from a 5 or 7 band graphic equalizer. It's a good sound bar for the money, but not great.

Just ok for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because had a wired sub I wanted to use from current surround system I had that I was not going to be able to properly set up in new home. So having a sub out was the reason I got this plus keeping overall cost down for a new smaller setup. The bass at certain frequency is horrible sounds like the speaker wants to pop out and this is not even at high volume just low to moderate. The Bluetooth can be a pain switching between devices like an iPhone or a tablet. The volume levels jump around between different programs and even with the time delay as much as I try cannot get the sound to sync with the video and if I do next time I use it or change programs it’s out of sync again. So now will just turn it off and use it only during movie night.

Good, but could be better.

Good budget HDMI-ARC soundbar

The sound from this sound bar is a significant upgrade from the TV speakers. It provides needed added clarity to dialog over the 2.1 sound base, though I did lose some bass response. If you are looking for thumping bass, look else where or be prepared to add a power sub-woofer. Unlike most, I bought this sound bar so that I could watch TV at a LOWER volume. The additional clarity afforded the dialog by the center channel speaker does this well. The ability to use HDMI-ARC to allow the TV remote to control on/off and volume of the sound bar is also a significant feature for a sound bar at this price point. Overall, this was an excellent purchase for my needs.

Good Price Point for a Decent Soundbar

Luckily this one is a solid option for fixing your poor TV speakers, which most of us are stuck with. If you have a larger budget, of course there are better speakers, but I have yet to find $100 sound bar that sounds much better than this Vizio one.

Better than my TV speakers that’s for sure. I wish I purchased the one that comes with the sub or wireless surround though.

Overall not bad, but too many glitches

Takes ever to detect and it keeps losing connection. I tired multiple apps, they work but the interface becomes buggy and freezes. Pros - lot of input options, ok sound Cons- 1. Smart cast is not stable, the app is very bad. It keeps losing the added device from list. It don't detect the device for a while. 2. The sound bar doesn't connect after initial pairing. It need BT paring mode activated to get to connect to a phone. I think it's a pain every time to turn on BT pairing to get to sound bar. I had a previous sound bar which just picks the BT request once it is paired and in your list.

Vizio online chat help recommend I remove power for 30-60 seconds. That did not help. I performed a web search and found many other Vizio owners have had similar issues with Vizio soundbars. Returned to Best Buy and bought a different brand of soundbar. (Yes, I had all energy savings settings disabled.)

Not compatible with my TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought soundbar, plugged it in but no sound. Tried all forms of cables to no avail. Contacted tech support for my tv brand, and they said my particular model won't work with ANY soundbars at all. My tv is a Samsung Series 6 LED HD TV manufactured in 2013 (just 5 years old). So this is not Vizio's fault but Samsung's for making a tv that doesn't work with soundbars.
