Q: which is better? the 3.0 or the 2.1
A: 3.0 is better in my opinion. I absolutely hate how the dialogue is difficult to hear during action scenes with two channel bars. Plus this model has a port for a subwoofer to added if desired, making it 3.1.
Q: What is The difference between the 2.1 Vizio smart cast sound bar and the 3.0 Visio sound bar
A: 2.1 indicates a left and right channel, and a subwoofer. 3.0 indicates a left, right and center channel, but no sub. Hope this helps.
Q: Can I connect a CD player through this soundbar?
A: The soundbar has 3 different types of inputs. Input type 1 is an Optical Input . If your CD Player has an Optical output (Fiber Optic) then yes, it will work. Input type 2 is an 1/8" 2.5mm Jack (Standard Headphone) . If your CD Player has a Standard Headphone output then it will work. Input type 3 HDMI . If your CD Player has an HDMI output then it will work. If your CD player is a component with RCA Outputs (1/4" Jack) . You will need to purchase a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter.
Q: Can this soundbar be paired with a vizio wireless subwoofer if needed ?
A: You can connect a subwoofer through cable but not through a wireless connection.
A: No. There are 2 kinds of Bluetooth devices, devices that can 'send' audio, and devices that can 'receive' audio. The soundbar can 'receive' audio over Bluetooth from another device (like a phone) but it can't 'send' the audio to another device.
A: Out of those two options, I would put it behind if you can. A quarter inch should not effect it much. Can you lift the TV on a box so it sits higher? I have seen people do this. They either buy or build a nice looking box so it can raise the TV a few inches for the soundbar and soundbar can sit in front where it was designed to be.
